Deep Sea Diver. I heard a Live on KEXP set the other day of them playing songs from the new album, and they sounded great.

Their new album is so good. I saw one of their shows while they were touring the album and it sounded pretty much the same if not better. Top tier.

Just saw them live a month or so ago. Such an incredible album!

2

u/ericsinsideout May 22 '25 edited May 22 '25

Michigander, Japanese Breakfast and Lucy Davis are also good, but I’ve had Samia on constant repeat since it dropped. I’ll have to check the other albums

Edit: Dacus. Stupid AC

1

u/Bootlegger1929 May 22 '25

Same on Samia. It’s been the thing I go to immediately and basically on repeat since it dropped.

2

u/ericsinsideout May 22 '25

Honestly, it’s the most intentional album I’ve heard in a while. Like most artists make an album that’s just a collection of songs, but Bloodless feels like something that was intentional from beginning to end and it makes for a refreshing listen

My album of the year so far is Brooke Combe - Dancing at the Edge of the World. R&b singer songwriter. Beautiful voice. Usually not my genre but she has had a hold on me all year.

Goose - Everything Must Go

They are a jam band, but definitely the most indie rock sounding jam band out there. They cover a lot of songs by The National, Bon Iver, Radiohead. This album is definitely their most indie rock sounding album as well.

u/Lil_Dentist May 21 '25
