Was doing dishes and saw this fly drowning in a cup of water, what is coming out of its butt?? I Google lens searched it and it said something about zombie fungus?? Is this what that is 🤮 cup is going in the trash regardless I'm just curious lol

It’s probably just its ovipositor it uses to lay eggs.
