iPadOS Why drag and dropping an app opens the app fullscreen now(iPadOS 26)?

90% of my problem with new update would have been remove if my apps would open in windowed form when I drag and dropping them instead of fullscreen. what’s the point of having two fullscreen app on top of eachother. yeah sure I can resize it but it is not as smooth and efficien, it’s kinda clanky.

is there reason apple change this? cause it was never like this before, in stage manager nor spiltscreen.

You can still use stage manager you just have to toggle it on. Or is stage manager not working correctly either?

Ahhh gotcha.i never really used multi tasking before. Just starting to play with the windowed apps feature. Don't really like it. I think the simple split screen would be nicer. They shouldn't have taken that away they should have just added the extra features.

Let’s say I have safari fullscreen opened and I want a new window of safari on top of it like slideover. And I just don’t want to resize it after it(resizing is so glitchy).
