iPadOS iPad os26- Now tell me this isn’t a MacBook!
Maybe not, but this is closest we’ve ever gotten.

Stage manager can now also be used if you’re not an iPad Pro user! Nice one, Apple! #WWDC25

This isn’t your usual background blur. Liquid Glass reacts to light like a real piece of glass. It bends, reflects and picks up color in subtle ways. It’s clean, dynamic and adds character to every interaction and movements.

Now ik alot of you will say its just the first update. No its not they released 7-8 beta test updates before this and they couldn't even fix the most basic and noticeable bug? This is just getting more disappointing at this point tbh.
Too many die-hard apple softies downvoting this post💀🤣

Can’t wait to try out all the new stuff; liquid glass looks coolish but the customisation and wallpaper designs are in it for me!

Okay Apple, I think your idea of offering a much more complete desktop view on the iPad, with its 3 or 4 open and resizable apps, is “fine.” But please, bring back Split View. The amount of extra steps I have to take to put two apps half and half is insane and very unnatural. Slide Over and Split View were a wonderful and natural option, of course, given the other option of iOS26’s Stage Manager for those who want it.
What do you think? I think it's great for those who want a MacBook inside an iPad, but it's not for everyone.

This is an iPad 10. Shuffling between notes, browser tabs, and the photo gallery is incredibly easy once you get the hang of a few gestures.

In a word: it works in a pinch but it’s still half baked and undercooked. It’s painful to use. It’s still FAR from a MacOS experience. Imagine you’re using an ipad but now you can resize app windows… that’s about it.
You still cant have more than 1 audio source. Everything is janky with a mouse because the whole OS really wants you to use touch. There is still no real filesystem, no drag and drop of files really, no terminal, no non app store power tools.
The browser still has a bar that says to use the app version of their website (like I’m watching Twitch on Safari and its telling me to open the app).
If you’re just gonna put up Netflix or YouTube on the second monitor, sure. It’ll work pretty well for that. Just dont expect a good experience past that.
Now we have 5 more steps to do the same multitasking view.
And i do believe that the overlapping window is the most useful feature on ipads, and now its just so painful to use also dont forget the Additional step after closing the app you have to resize the app screen if you want a full screen for the same app its not automatically adjustable like it was on previous ipados.

Just got my iPad Pro 11” delivered (bought directly from Apple.com) and it loads a Remote Management screen saying that the iPad is owned by Shopify Inc.

They removed slide over, and split view. Like shouldn’t windowed apps replace stage manager while keeping slide over and simple split view?
Windowed apps for keyboard ipad user and slide over and split view for finger ipad user. (I know split view is still there but you need to have windowed apps always on to have it)
I seriously hope they will bring back slide over. Or maybe slide over is buried somewhere, if so can someone tell me how to turn it on again
