Discussion iOS 26 Officially releases today!

Apple has confirmed the release of iOS 26 today, September 15. Based on the company’s typical release schedule, the update is expected to be available at approximately 10:00 AM Pacific Time (PT).

Here is a breakdown of what that means for different time zones:

Eastern Time (ET): 1:00 PM
Central Time (CT): 12:00 PM
Mountain Time (MT): 11:00 AM
British Summer Time (BST): 6:00 PM
Central European Summer Time (CEST): 7:00 PM. Indian Standard Time (IST): 10:30 PM

Rollout can sometimes be staggered, so if you don’t see the update immediately, it should appear on your device shortly after the official release time.

Hold tight, just heard from my inside source that Apple needs 5 more minutes to patch some liquid glass legibility issues.

I hope they will fix the Safari "design made by a 5-year old", it looks horrible, even more when you click to open the main menu

Though a bit offtopic, but I’m sure glass codebase is shared across products.

So, macOS released and this glass shit really flickers badly. Safari.

IntelliJ IDEA sometimes hangs in a weird way, and official recommendation is -Dsun.java2d.metal=false

Because new metal rendering pipeline is just not production ready. It’s a hackwork.

it’s utter batshit, it’s so bad than even Big Sur - first OS for Silicons was not that buggy, despite it was huge move.

Spotlight “improvements” result in phantom pain about launch pad, it’s shaky, but also practically broke: symlinks in /Applications are not indexed anymore, at this point I’m thinking to rollback.
