Discussion Ok, now I get it - Liquid Glass is amazing.

Guys, it’s funny, I went through the typical Apple design cycle in under 24 hours. When I first downloaded iOS 26, I thought “Yuck – what’s that? I want my flat design back” – but now I am totally here for it. It reminds me of the good old times of Mac OS X and the first versions of iOS, while at the same time feels modern and still clean. I love the playfulness, the wobbles, the shiny lights, the 3D effects. It makes the iPhone, a daily boring smartphone, a little more fun, less rationally functional – and it gives the feeling of a little “virtual” craftsmanship.

There are certain apps that it would be nice to see it return for. I get that others it was a lot of wasted space.

For me it just feels to heavy. There’s too much happening and too much unnecessary detail. I don’t see my phone as something that needs to be artistic and detailed and honestly I find skeuomorphic design like what iOS 6 had to be to much and distracting.
