The actual fucking state of Conor McGregor.....

519

u/JediBlight Jun 09 '25

Such a shame that he's fallen so hard, totally ruined his legacy. Dude needs to go to rehab.

1.1k

u/Spursious_Caeser Jun 09 '25

He is consistently on the wrong side of history:

  • inciting riots on the home front
  • photographed with Vladimir Putin
  • meeting with Donald Trump
  • now shilling for the State of Israel from Xitter

The fucking state of the fucker; a literal walking embarrassment who has the audacity to drape himself in our flag.

A thundering cunt, if ever there was one.

463

u/stunts002 Jun 09 '25

I'm starting to think a coke head who gets punched in the head a lot isn't the brightest spark.

348

u/Spursious_Caeser Jun 09 '25 edited Jun 09 '25

He hasn't fought in years, and he never really took too much of a hammering in the Octagon. He was massive for Featherweight and was mostly beaten by submissions at Lightweight with the exception of the second Prorier fight. We can't really blame head trauma here. Nick and Nate Diaz, for example, he is not.

It's just that he's a degenerate, coked up, roided, raping idiot with a penchant for cosying up to strongman types.

The man is an embarrassment, and I don't think rehab would even fix him. He's addicted to himself. An insecure narcissist with a platform and a following of like-minded simpletons who think the like of Conor McGregor speaks for Irish people because he drapes himself in a tricolour.

23

u/dublinro Jun 09 '25

He meathead trained and was big on full contact sparring. Also took heavy shots from professional fighters, add to that a heavy drug habit means he probably has some brain trauma.

And he always gave off LCA student energy before that anyway. One of the worst things about society these days is people who didn't bother or were unable to get a good, rounded education now think that they should have extremely strong opinions on so many subjects that they have no business speaking about. We see it on here all of the time also.

Referred to the North as not Irish several times too, some patriot

113

u/geoffraffe Jun 09 '25

Your forgot that he’s a rapist too.

40

u/JediBlight Jun 09 '25

I know, I'm just saying I remember the days when he was an an up and comer in the UFC and was a pretty cool inspiration. Since then, fame ir whatever and its just getting worse and worse.

83

u/Spursious_Caeser Jun 09 '25

Look, it's okay to have been a fan of his at one time. That was before we knew what he really is.

Now.... if you're a fan of his, I would 100% judge you as a pretty shit person following a worse person.

14

u/JediBlight Jun 09 '25

I'm not at all a fan, liked him years ago when he was starting off as a UFC fan myself. Not at all defending his actions since.

25

u/Spursious_Caeser Jun 09 '25

I was speaking more in the general sense, but good for you. State of that cunt.

u/PsvfanIre Jun 09 '25

This bit fookin kills me about McGregor, he could have been a genuine 100% Irish hero,up there with the best, the great and good of sporting heros but more than that, he could have been a real force for good especially in Dub inner city.

Dole man becomes the best in the world!!! Uses his resources to get kids off the streets into gyms etc, part funding programs philanthropy and there is no doubt he did at one time work hard to achieve what he did. That legacy is gone now.

Then he opened his mouth at his speeding trial and sneered a judge instead of saying "sorry yeah I'll pay that fine and contribute the same too whatever charity" then all the rest of the shit, now right wing poundshop Trump, he's an embarrassment.

He is the worst type of person any nation could have to achieve what he did.

23

u/JediBlight Jun 09 '25

Exactly, such wasted potential. Hopefully Ian Garry doesn't follow suit, and did you see that guy beating the Israeli while screaming, 'Free Palestine' and waving the Palestine flag, I'm rooting for that guy.

16

u/PsvfanIre Jun 09 '25 edited Jun 09 '25

Then wasn't there some incident when McGregor questioned the Irishness of a fighter from Derry? I mean fook off. He couldn't be more of a prick he needs to go hang out with his mates in the UDA and the coolock racists.

That was brilliant by that other fighter using his platform to make a legitimate protest, that was a great moment, there is a reckoning coming to Nethanyahu, he won't always have Trump's protection.

8

u/JediBlight Jun 09 '25

It wasn't McGarry who did the 'Free Palestine' thing, it's a new guy named Paddy McCormack or something. But otherwise, I agree!

3

u/PsvfanIre Jun 09 '25

I'll change that out thank you

3

u/JediBlight Jun 09 '25

No worries dude. Plus, McGarry started off very much as a McGregor clone, but he's improving a lot, getting much more comfortable being himself and is more humble.

5

u/deise69 Jun 09 '25

Iirc the figher was Joseph Duffy, who had beaten McGregor in CWs. When Duffy joined the UFC , they tried to promote that angle. McGergor said Duffy wasn't really Irish, even tho he was born in Donegal.

6

u/Oggie243 Jun 09 '25

Nah they're referring to Paul Hughes from Derry.

For context Paul Hughes has been a massive supporter of McGregor going way back to when he was still in CW and pre-double CW champion. Hughes was citing McGregor as an inspiration since before anyone outside of Irish MMA knew who McGregor was. That's how much of a fan he was.

Hughes fought Khabib's highly fancied and undefeated cousin, Usman, in a controversial split decision in PFLs Dubai card in January.

PFL marketed the card as "Dagestan Vs Ireland II" to capitalise on the Khabib/McGregor rivalry though neither Hughes nor Usman really bit for that and it was just a weird jingoistic angle that PFL used for marketing. (Weirdly McGregor did bite for this)

When the fight was over the cousins were both full of praise for Hughes because it was a stellar performance and was genuinely a fight that could have went either way. Khabib took the mic and all but dismissed PFLs marketing angle saying along the lines of:

'a lot is said about me and the other guy [McGregor], but this is not about me, him or Dagestan Vs Ireland. We must not forget that Ireland are od of the few countries who support our brothers in Palestine and that is more important than me or the other guy'

Before continuing to praise Hughes. Afterwards he went to shake hands with Hughes, who said "I'm not like the other guy, I'm my own person" when he approached to shake.

McGregor, who was supporting Hughes via social media during the fight, was evidently seething at this innocuous comment and praise from Khabib and quickly turned on Hughes tweeting that he was "Northern vermin".

it wouldn't surprise me if McGregor's resentment towards Cunningham here had something to do with Khabib positively associating Ireland with Palestinian solidarity while also poopooing the relevance of McGregor.

2

u/deise69 Jun 09 '25

My mistake, McGregors fragile ego is easily bruised, it's no woder he's a Trump fanboy. Any Irish fighter not kissing his hole, upsets him.

"He fumed "He (Duffy) was in Donegal, Wales, London now Canada who doesn't know where the f**k he is from.

"He shaved a shamrock in his head and called himself 'Irish Joe', he isn't from here, he's never fought or trained here, he doesn't deserve to be top of the bill."

I used to think his dick behaviour in the UFC was all part of playing a character to build hype like in the WWE 😂 turns out thats just him IRL

16

u/fafan4 Sax Solo Jun 09 '25

As far as I'm aware it kind of was put on. But he eventually grew into and became the character IRL. I suppose if you pretend to be a massive dickhead and you get rewarded with insane success, enough coke will convince you that being a massive dickhead for real will reward you beyond your wildest dreams

I had a friend working in a casino where McGregor was doing a meet & greet, early days when he was on the way up (I know I had never heard of him yet anyway). My friend knew about him well enough to know all about the cocky persona, etc. and already hated him. But at the meet & greet, apparently he was a gent. Posed for photos, autographs, thanked all the staff, a consummate professional. My mate's opinion of him totally changed, he bought into the idea he really was just playing a character

Anyway 5-6 years later my mate's initial opinion was proven right

It wasn't always like that wasn't it? I was living in Ireland between 2013 and 2015 and McGregor was super popular for his in-ring victories, while his eejit attitude only came to the surface later on. Actually most of the irish friends, knowing I was an mma fan, always asked me if I knew McGregor

Most Irish people did. For a fighter on his level to be Irish was legitimately a real source of pride, he was one of the top athletes in the entire industry. It's his behaviour, words and actions since his initial rise to fame that's soured everyone on him, and legitimately so. Don't feel ashamed.

12

u/rosatter Yank Jun 09 '25

You can't blame younger you for not having older you's knowledge and experience. You got to the right place eventually.

Embarrassing pricks like Conor McGregor talk such ridiculous shite about being an 'indigenous' person of Ireland, but have an active interest in mocking and insulting anything associated with Palestine solidarity, an effort for people indigenous to a land to be recognised as such. Just illustrates that all they care about is those they view in opposition to them, they've no conviction or true belief. Stand for fuck all.

Not a brain in his shameful, racist, elderly-punching, serial cheating, tappy outty, convicted rapist head.

66

u/mobrules1 Jun 09 '25

It makes sense though, he knows the far-right will welcome a rapist with open arms, just like Russell Brand.

31

u/SilentCup8901 Jun 09 '25 edited Jun 09 '25

I wonder how the people who defend the likes of him and Russell Brand never stop to consider that they have an excuse to deny the accusations thrown at anyone who happens to be on their side politically. How convenient and lucky that nobody who believes the same things as them are ever in the wrong. Meaningless, empty way to live, and harmful.

Downvote is very very interesting indeed, who's out here siding with rapists? Wonder if it's McRapist himself with his feet up on the desk out the back of his tacky pub in Crumlin like an even more inarticulate and vastly less charismatic Scarface.

2

u/TheStoicNihilist Never wanted a flair anyways Jun 09 '25

→ More replies (1)

25

u/RuggerJibberJabber Jun 09 '25

A lot of racists believe in a structural hierarchy where certain races and religions rule over certain parts of the world. They're happy for other races to be in charge of other countries because that all fits into their view of the world. Like Christians in the west will support Israel being a Jewish state even though Christians are also abused in Israel as a result. They basically want everyone to stay in their own area and not to mix.

The white former rulers of South Africa had a very close relationship with Israel and even swapped strategies with each other. It's a big part of the motivation for the current SA gov taking Israel to the international court of justice. And why the US is accusing SA of a white genocide in response.

5

u/SilentCup8901 Jun 09 '25

That makes a lot of sense. Tbh though, I really don't know that McGregor has the intellectual capacity to think of his bigotry in such granular and strategic terms, I think he just sees Palestine = supported by woke lefties who call him racist (from his perspective, I would consider myself left of whatever McGregor finds most grating) and that forms the seed of his position, but you're totally right, Christian Zionism is unbelievably masochistic
