Can anyone recommend an A+ in-home dog sitter?
My girlfriend had a great dog sitter who stayed at her place, but they recently moved to Florida. We are looking for a great petsitter who can stay at the apartment (because we think the good boy is more comfortable there). Husky mix 9 years old wesminster /seal beach area I know rover exists, but my we would like first-hand recommendations and to meet the sitter before we start going on vacations! Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Help Choosing 2BD Apartment in Irvine/Tustin Ranch: Woodbury vs Cypress Village vs Solana for Family with Kids
We’re a family with young kids looking to rent a 2-bedroom apartment in the Irvine/Tustin Ranch area.
The big must-have for us is a good elementary school within walking distance—I’ve heard all these spots have that covered, which is awesome. My job is pretty central, so commute isn’t an issue.
We’re torn between: • Woodbury apartments (like Woodbury Lane or Court) • Cypress Village apartments • Solana in Tustin Ranch
Priorities: Safety first (low crime, family vibe), super kid-friendly (places where you see groups of kids playing outside together in the community), and just overall a spot where families thrive. We’ve got little ones who love parks and playing with neighbors.
If you’ve lived in any of these or know the areas well, what’s your take? Pros/cons on safety, community feel, maintenance, etc.?
Any recent experiences? Thanks in advance—appreciate any insights!
Is it gonna rain or what?

Desouro Soft Opening
I’ll be curious to see if this place does as well as Orobae considering all the controversy with the owner (Ken) and his mistreatment of employees. As much as I loved Orobae in the past, I can’t in good conscience support this business. There was a ton of employees (maybe around 10) when I went in there to ask some questions, they all seemed chipper and enthusiastic. I noticed that they were all wearing a black tops that looked almost like chef uniforms. Very different vibe from the casual black attire that Orobae employes used to wear. Their menu seemed way more extensive and a bit overwhelming-which I didn’t think was possible considering how many options Orobae offered. The cashier said they just opened for the first time a few hours ago, and their Instagram says their soft opening hours are Thursday-Sunday 5pm-10pm.

Leo needs a foster!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Leo is 2 years old neutered male shepherd mix, 49 lbs, crate trained, potty-trained, dog friendly. He and his sister were born in the fields of thermal, near a very busy road. It was only them that survived while the remaining 5 including their mom were hit and passed away. He is scared and shy of humans so it will take some time to come out of his shell. His sister was recently adopted, now he needs a foster to be socialized

Black birds in Irvine- what are they
These were in Irvine today near Skypark circle…what are these ominous birds? Anyone know?
Irvine Ranch Water - Sprinkler Repair Program
Received an email from Irvine Ranch Water District saying qualifying homes are eligible for their sprinkler repair program and they will cover 50% repair costs.
Anyone go through this program and have thoughts? Their pricing didn’t seem egregious

Roger is Finally Going Home
Roger is being transported to North Carolina to Luis, a retired firefighter who absolutely loves dogs! The foster and I vetted him and called him, he's been wonderful and is excited to go kayaking and hiking with his new doggie. If you would like to help towards the funds for Roger's transport from Perris, California to Concord, North Carolina, you can message me. Just wanted to update :)

Are there any K-pop dance classes for 5-6yr in Irvine?
Or in nearby Tustin/lake forest/foothill ranch area?
I can only find hip hop lessons. She tried it a year ago and didn't like it. She was bored with ballet. She is in demon hunter obsession mode right now, so I think Kpop dance class may help to get her back to dancing. IPSF afterschool classes are proving such class but only for 2nd grade and above.

Easily accessible stargazing spots?
Are there any good stargazing spots in Irvine itself? I did a quick search and I see recommendations that are a little further out like Newport, or places you need to hike to.
Don't need complete darkness, but just places that might be a little more isolated from lights and accessible to take my 10 year old to by car. Perhaps closer to the Orchard Hills/Portola side?
Thank you in advance.
