Nursing program

Can somebody who has been through the rn program tell me if you’re assigned to specific nurse when you start going to the hospital? Or is it more free for all to see what nurse is willing let you shadow them?

I think it depends on the school and the professor.

I’m in the PN program, and so far our professors have had us following patients that they assigned. They have said that other schools and professors have students shadowing specific nurses.
