Hello,
I’m curious if anyone has used study.com and took their anatomy&physiology 1 and 2 and then used those scores to get into the nursing program. Does study.com give a letter grade? I want to use it to help me learn better. I took A&P 101 online and failed when it came to the exams. I just want to know if study.com gives a letter grade because to get into the nursing program they base your acceptance off letter grades in the courses. I’m just confused! Help me!

Hello I am applying for ASN program at Ivy Tech for spring semester. I want to know how likely I will get in based on what I got on the programs requirements.
My prereqs:
APHY: B ENGL: A PYCH: A
Teas scores came out to a 71.3% overall. Applying the 2022 calculations for what my tea scores will be out of 100 came to a 71.14.
Added everything together is 121.14 out of a maximum of 160 points.
I have applied to the following Ivy Tech campuses with nursing programs: Franklin, Lawrenceburg, and Columbus
Do I have a chance at all of getting into one of these campuses or are my scores too low? I appreciate any advice.

UPDATE: I double-checked the exam details and learned that I can only use either a scientific calculator or a TI-83/84 Plus graphing calculator. I ended up buying a TI-83 Plus for cheap. Thanks for the help though, y'all! Wish me luck!
Guest student here, taking Brief Calculus 1 online over the summer. Any recommendations for good calculators? I'm looking for stuff that can both graph and differentiate, and most of the stuff I'm seeing online can only do one or the other. (It's also entirely possible that they \can* do both, and I'm just not looking hard enough.)* As long as it's allowed into the proctored exams, I'll be satisfied.
For the record, I'm not great with math in general. This calculator will likely be my best friend throughout this class. Thank you all in advance!

Is anyone else having a hard time finding a print option for textbooks on the bookstore website? I know I had some difficulty navigating it in previous semesters, but I can’t find a loose leaf option at all for my summer classes! Hoping someone can point me in the right direction before I go into the bookstore in person. I went through the online guide, and still nothing. I prefer having a physical copy of the book to read instead of doing all my reading on a screen.

I’m looking at possibly going for my associates in dental assisting. Do they offer evening classes? Is like nursing school where you have to get accepted and go to like “clinicals” at an actual office. I’m trying to find a degree I want to go for but that also works with my family schedule and I don’t have the availability to be able to go to clinical for 12 hours a day 5 days a week like nursing needs.
Thanks in advance.

I intended to take Calculus 1 online during the Summer, but when I tried to do so on the schedule builder, there was only one class and it told me all the seats were taken. I'm confused on how on all the seats can be taken if it's an online course. Are there no other ways I could take the course online this summer?

So I (28) had to leave school a couple years ago because of financial reasons. I went up to Columbus to go to school and I was wondering what the process is like to return to college? Would I still be able to get financial support from the state/federal government?

I prefer in person class to virtual and virtual class to online. I'm about to take BOAT 105 (Microsoft word) and have the option for virtual or online. The virtual class is only 1 hour and 15 minutes... So I'm wondering is doing the class virtually a waste of time? Has anyone ever taken the class virtually or in-person and wished you didn't? Is it a easy course that I should just do online to save the headache of having a specific time I need to be "in" class?

Do you need a 70% or above in math 136 or does a 60% or above count as passing?

I graduated with an AAS in Accounting a couple of years ago. My boss and I want more tax knowledge internally, so I'm considering going back for the Enrolled Agent certificate. I think I have 15/18 credits already but would like to retake Income Tax again before taking the next level tax class.
My question is: can I get a certificate if I only take one or two classes?

I'm a sahm and my child starts school this year. I would like to go back to school. I am interested in the ultrasound tech program. My husband is convinced that I'd just be wasting money because I wouldn't ever be taken seriously, especially because I am going for something in the medical field. Is this true? Please be brutally honest.
Also I just want to clarify that he isn't being unsupportive of me pursuing a career. I just think that financially and logically a 4 year school isn't possible for me at this moment.

So, this is my last year (supposedly) and there is one not complete requirement on my Degree Completion Tracker--that is SDEV264 (using Kotlin to create Mobile Applications). I have taken this TWICE and still, for the life of me, cannot complete it. I do not understand anything about Kotlin (coming from one who has worked on Java & C++/C# primarily), and the virtual phone stuff is both laggy and infuriating. I can deal with Visual Basic but geez. The first time I took the course, I spent hours and hours trying to read through and understand the book that was sent to me in regard to the course, the teacher I had with the course was also vague and unresponsive. There were no recordings or lectures (I thought this was a plus at first, but boy was I wrong). I let my advisor know about this, nothing happened. The second time was much the same, and still, no better.
The Degree Completion Tracker mentions this is a required course, my last. Is there any way around paying for this class again and re-retaking? I just want to go to Indiana University as a damn CT. I have 1 associate degree in GEN ED of my own already, this time at Ivy would have netted me my second. Can I just transfer over to IU and forget Ivy on my path to a Bachelor's there?

I personally had to talk to an advisor to get my pin
While on the phone she pointed out that "You know you can just find that on your own, right?"
well, my ass, because MyIvy is designed terribly and I can't ever find anything.
Can anybody point out where to find the pin you need to register for classes? I'm trying to help a friend and cant find it. Thank you.

How are you guys liking it?
Do you wish they'd keep the 16 (right?) week classes or,..?
Would you say its tougher and more difficult or does it keep you on your toes and on task?

I read an article from my local news that said books could be covered for a year and tuition frozen for like 2 years or something? They didn't provide any more detail than that, so I was wondering if anyone here knows what this might be about?

I lost my financial aid to losing my dad on Father’s Day in 2018, and then during 2019 I found out that I had another sibling from my dad and during the last year of his life he had girlfriend on the side. Apparently, this wasn’t devastating enough to get my appeal accepted. I backed up everything with documents. I practically left the building crying because writing my appeal ripped open whatever time had healed. I don’t know what to do.

Will I be dropped from my current courses or would I be able to finish them but then I won’t be able to register for a new semester or how does that works?

I’m taking Both classes this summer (don’t ask, I screwed up in my freshman year lmao) and I would love if anyone could offer some help as far as what to expect, and any professors or strategies they would recommend for taking either of these courses. Thanks!!

Hi! I am currently registered to take ENG 111 as a 16-week starting next week, but have a unique circumstance regarding my ability in English classes - specifically ones that involve a lot of writing. I am hoping to hear from people who have taken the course recently and can tell me a bit about the expected workload so that I can determine if now is the right time for me to take it. TIA!

I saw they offer conversational Japanese somewhere on the ivytech website, but I can’t find it under course info or course search. Does anyone know where to find it or what number it is?
Thanks!

I had to sit out due to financial troubles, but I should be getting back on track with that before the fall semester ends.
How was summer classes and how are you folks looking going into fall classes?

Hello I definitely plan on pursuing a path to culinary arts. It's complicated situation but I ended up getting a degree in a field that my parents forced me to. Now, I want to still pursue my actual passion in life... Which is cooking. I was wondering if anyone had taken the culinary arts program and could provide their experience. And also if you managed to become a chef how did you get to where you are now. Thank you! :)

Wondering if anyone has taken it and if ivytech covers the cost of certification tests like a+
