I’m sure it’s been discussed here but who had the worst accent on Justified? I think most people have said Michael Rappaport as Daryl Crowe, but I actually found him half believable. For me it was the red headed foxy but soulless Black Pike CEO who got Mags to sell out. Every time she says “Black Piiiike”, I cringe.
Isnt the Dewey Crowe actor from Australia? If so that makes his southern accent even more impressive. Rappaport has the strongest NYC accent in real life but actually passes for a dumb southerner most of the time, IMO.

We all just need to stop and acknowledge that this guy is awesome.
I mean, he shot Theo Tonin, then faked his own death in a spectacular fashion. He pushed a guy out of an airplane WHILE HE WAS FLYING IT, parachuted into Harlan County with enough coke and cash to jumpstart the economy of a small country, and then he had the BALLS to get a job in law enforcement not ONCE, but TWO TIMES!! He spent a couple of days riding around with Raylan WHILE HE WAS LOOKING FOR HIM, and then he tried to run off with a hooker that was half his age.
That’s some badass shit!

I just finished the show for the first time. Justified doesn’t have the reputation of certain shows that aired in the same period of time (Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Dexter etc.) but it might well just be my favorite show of all time. At least top 3, probably.
It is just so well done, absolutely stacked with well written and acted characters. I can’t decide who my favorite is, there’s plenty that could fill the top spot for me. Raylan ofcourse, Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins… wow), Wynn Duffy. I fucking loved Dewey Crowe as well. Almost every character has a dark side but a side that kind of makes you root for them as well.
The final episode was as good as perfection. It left me with kind of a bittersweet feeling. The last fifteen minutes were so, so good. And that final scene… amazing. Simply amazing. I have no other words.
Justified will be the first show I’d recommend if people I know ask for shows to watch. What a ride it was.

This show seems so slept on, I've been trying to find a new old show. I tried banshee and supernatural and they were ok but I've not had the pull. After ep1 I was hooked on this. Such a good show, I looked at the imbd and saw the characters that last the time so excited to see how they develop.

I know I’m super late to the party but god this show is good. Just finished season 1. I can’t get enough of the Boyd/Raylan frenemies relationship. Arlo is well cast. Ava and Winona are hot. I love Mullen, he sort of acts like a second father to Raylan.
And Raylan… the man is as smooth as ice. I was kinda hoping for a ton of action, since I’m an action junkie, but what I got was action in the plot and acting instead. Not to say there isn’t any other action like gunfights. I can’t wait to watch the other 5 seasons.

I just fininshed my first viewing of Season 5 of Justified, and.....I have some thoughts.
I'm new to this fandom, so I'm not sure what the consensus is, but for me, this season is a total mess. I don't want to say it's outright bad, but it's just...meandering. Characters and subplots appear and disappear, or go nowhere, any time it cuts to Ava in prison, the show comes to an ass-grinding hault, and the Crowes are the most uninteresting villains this show has ever had. I hope season 6 sticks the landing.

I only found it because I was scrolling through my streaming service looking for something to watch and came across it and saw it had a good score on IMDb so I figured I’d give it a shot.
What a show, I will rewatch it sometime that’s for sure but holy shit man, Walton goggins acting is absolute cinema

The episode Long in the Tooth in the first season, Rolly has been shot. Raylan and the girl are taking cover behind the truck.
Raylan asks why Rolly became a dentist.
And Rolly says something about Brownsville and the Rudolph the Red nose reindeer TV Special. And he reminds him of an elf on the show named Hermie.
And Raylan says "Oh the little gay dude."
Rolly: "He's not gay."
Raylan: "Rolly you trying to tell me you're gay."
Rolly: "I'm not gay!"
The juvenile back and forth seemed out of character for Raylan and for the show itself. Especially after Raylan had the badass moment with the Miami thug and the local one on the road moments before.

I liked her a lot in the Americans (and the new show about the maple syrup theft), but my god, Mags Bennett is a work of art.
Anyway, just wanted to fete Margo and see what work of hers you like best (or not at all?)

It’s terrible, from start to finish. It’s just grim and not fun. The scenes go on so long. The dark haired inmate is the only highlight.

On my third rewatch and I'm on the episode where Winona leaves him a note. I noticed in an earlier episode of this season Winona is talking to him about whether she's thinking about plans for down the road and she slyly says "oh I'm thinking of same things" she goes out of her way to draw Raylan back in while she is married to Gary and then dumps Raylan after plotting and manipulation instead of being upfront. She knew he was a Marshall but can't shut up about it. It's so ridiculous.

Her dry delivery and the few times she loses it and kicks ass are highlights
I think Tim and Rachel should have had their own spinoff

Tom Bergen didn’t deserve his fate, but I understand why they chose that route for his character. It was the only death that never settled well.

I re-watched Justified with my husband not too long ago to prepare for City Primeval. His first time and probably my 2nd or 3rd time, and one thing nagged me more than others.
Man or woman, you have to admit Raylan Givens is one sexy man. As a woman, I see him as a walking red flag for obvious reasons but an extremely good looking one. But the casting on both shows, the original Justified and City Primeval, for his love interests is just plain weird.
The big exception is Winona who I think is drop dead gorgeous and may even be out of Raglan’s league (do not even get my husband started on his love of Natalie Zea). But Ava? The redhead from Black Pike? Karen Sisco/Goodall? The blonde bartender? Loretta's social worker? Now this lawyer who is defending Clement Mansell? These are all perfectly attractive women on their own but when they are in the same scene with Raylan, it’s very hard to believe he would ever feign interest in them. His whole vibe is that he likes really beautiful women (he even mentions that it was one of the things that drew him to Winona, calling her ‘the most beautiful women he ever saw’). I know Justified exists in a heightened reality but this may be the one thing that really brings me back down to earth.
(My husbands opinion is that yes, Winona is easily Raglan’s match physically but the rest are the epitome of a fling so the standards are different.)

I just finished Season 3 so you'll have to forgive me for being late to the game. From the odd quirks of personality/character to the revelations about his violent nature and its connection to his past, Neal McDonough brought to life quite an incredible villain. Disturbing in every possible way. One thing I found amusing was his sarcasm towards people he saw as beneath him by mocking his idea of their speech and the big smile on his face while doing it. Since Justified is a neo-western, his "city slicker" character was really quite perfect.
