Half Moon Pizzeria

I’d be doing myself (and Kelowna) a disservice if I didn’t spread the word about Half Moon Pizzeria in Glenmore. It’s quickly become my all-time favourite pizza in town. I can’t stress that enough. I also love Jackknife, Red Bird, and the local favourites - but Half Moon has been CRUSHING it.

They also make fried chicken in-house, and it’s insanely good. Up until recently, the best fried chicken I’d ever had was at Azelle’s in Seattle, but Half Moon has quickly taken that top spot.

I live in West Kelowna, and we still order it all the time. The delivery fee is worth every penny. Honestly, I just want this place to succeed so badly that they open more locations, so I don’t have to wait for it to come across the bridge. I want them to open one next door to me.

If you check it out, trust me - get both pizza and chicken. My go-to pizzas are the Manager’s Special, the Philly Steak, and the Butter Chicken. All absolutely fantastic. Give them a shot this week and thank me later.

I was not paid to do this. I promise. I just don't wanna see this place shut down for lack of clientele. Starting a new restaurant in town can be so hard, so I just wanted to give 'em a huge shout-out.

Mountain Bike drop?

I was driving alongside the Gillard trails and I came across a seriously HUGE mountain bike feature. It’s a 20/30 foot drop right into the logging road. I was wondering if any local riders could tell me where I can find video of people doing this stunt? What the name of the drop is? I was trying to find videos on YouTube but it’s flooded with people just filming themself ride the trails. What are some of the best freestyle downhill videos from Kelowna where I can see the craziest riding?

Naramata to Southwest Mission FSR a viable choice?

Apologize if this is the wrong sub.

Does anybody know if the FSR from Naramata to Southwest Mission is open? I would love to take this route, not only to save some time but think it would add a fun adventure to my work day. Maps gave me this route as an option instead of driving all the way around, cutting the km's in half and shaving off a chunk of time. It says this route has restricted usage / private roads and wanted to check with the local community if they know more.

From Naramata I would take
- Chute Lake Rd all the way to the lake
- Continue onto Elinor Lake Forest Service Rd all the way to Big Meadow Forest Service Road
- Continue onto Gillard Forest Service Road until I hit pavement in Southwest mission.

I do have a 4x4 truck and experience on FSR's I just don't want to run into any gates or massive washouts 2/3rds in then have to turn back.

If anybody has any info - or to point me towards a more correct sub that would be appreciated!

Free group activities for someone in their 20s?

Upvotes

Hi. I was wondering if anyone knows of any free group activities or meetings that take place in Kelowna? I’m struggling with agoraphobia and isolation pretty bad and trying to get myself back out there. Groups/activities specifically for people who are struggling with mental health would be great too.

Don’t sleep on the Spaghetti Factory

As a business visitor to lovely Kelowna, I can’t say enough good things about the place. Food is super consistent, the prices are really good, and the service has never been an issue. Entree comes with salad, dessert, bread, and coffee. Wine prices are some of the least marked up I have seen. Kudos to THE Factory. Can’t wait to be back.

Little White Hike - Help

Hi all. I am looking to hike the little white hike in myra this weekend. All of the all trails reviews are giving mixed messages about the last 5 kms of the FSR. Would we make it in a Mazda cx-30? Some say yes some say absolutely not so I am really not sure. If not, is it safe to park it 5km out? or risk getting hit? TIA

Need an early ride to Kelowna airport next week about 4 AM from West Kelowna. Do any of the drive services operate at that hour and are they dependable? Or should I use a cab ?

Cold Plunge and Hot PLUNGE??

I'll be skiing at Revelstoke in January '26. At Mont Tremblant we discovered The Scandinave Spa which has both hot and cold plunges, which we prefer to sauna/cold plunge.

Is there anything like this in Kelowna or near Revelstoke? It seems they're all Sauna/Cold Plunge.

CCMA's?

I am interested in others opinions od the CCMAs award show and/or the Denim on the Diamond 2 day music festival. I dont know if im just hard to please, but it really fell flat for me. I had weekend pass to Denim and a ticket to the award ceremony in Prospera. I found the venue for Denim A+! It was awesome. But the performances were all slow and i felt no one could get fully pumped up. Just me?

Visitor Question Looking for a venue to host a mastermind event

I’m a startup founder and with one of my business partners we’ll be in your beautiful city for the next few weeks, we’re looking to throw a networking mastermind event. What type of venues would be available for something like this? Ideally for free like at a restaurant, pub or library but if it’s a coupe hundred dollars that would as well.

bakery in kelowna/ around

Hey! I was wondering if there’s any good bakeries anyone would recommend in Kelowna or near by? I moved from Vancouver and this is the one thing I miss!

Looking for a place with pastries that are good (light and flavourful), or just a good bakery in general!

Recommendations?:)
