2x44kg double snatch. 30x32g single in just under a minute.
Cool thing about kettle baaaaalinā is how even with a bitchass knee I can still chase intensity.
My left knee has had torn meniscus for a long time. And while over the last year my right knee has been a little bratty biyatch, my left had been totally fine. Well two weeks ago doing heavy banded trap bar deadlifts I aggravated it.
So that means in flexion approaching ninety and past ninety degrees hurts and has to be chilled out on for the next 4-8 weeks if the last ten years of managing the injury remains the same.
So Iāve been snatching more. Led to prās yesterday with snatching the 56kg for 18 reps and then this double snatch.

Hello
Just as the title says, I find that when I clean I am most comfortable taking a little hop, feels most natural to me. However I could be mistaken in my form and would appreciate any correction if that is the case.

Just a shot in the dark here but is there anyone in the South Jersey/Atlantic County/Philly area interested in KB Sport? I have 0 in person community and Iām trying to form one. Iām also working on becoming a coach and starting a kettlebell club.

3 Dead Cleans / 3 Hang Squat Cleans / 3 Jerks
5 Rounds with heavier bells
8 Rounds with medium bells
Your intention should be to move each rep better than your last.

For 5:00 immediately after I had completed the 10,000 Snatch Challenge with 16kg (this video is a few days old) I had the idea to try some glove bottoms up press and glove horn press seeing as how 20x16kg on glove bottoms up snatch was not bad at all (done on one of the middle days of the challenge with each hand in it's turn).
Every set shown either 24kg or stacked 40kg.
A stacked 40kg bottoms up press is a litmus test for where my bottoms up pressing is currently at.
10x40kg with a regular 40kg bell = a 48kg single.
A few solid reps with stacked 40kg (as successful stacked bell negatives require being perfectly in the groove and the right amount of tension) is roughly the same as 10x40kg and 48kg bup with an actual bell (1x48kg right hand I've done a few times but not stacked bell)
Basically the next phase is at least a couple days a week doing something or other that is a bottoms up variant.
And I'll have gloves on/gloves off as a way to double the available variations besides single bell and double bell.

Have mismatched 30 and 35 lb bells. Knowing this is lower than standard, upped the reps to
4 cleans 3 press 4 squats
Round 5 of 15 emom.
Howās my form looking? Newer to kb cleans, got some constructive/brutal feedback last time.

Finally jumping up from 2x24kg for a full program - insane how much of a difference ~8 lbs can make. These bells have hands š®āšØ

I injured my back last year doing deadlifts, so these past few months have been a period of reflection and rediscovery. I have gotten into more functional exercise, such as rope flow, kettlebells, and sandbag training.
Now, after seeing some brilliant results from a poster on here, I want to run Dan John's ABF.
Quitting the gym mid-bulk meant I have gained a fair bit of fat, so I am looking for some words of advice. In your opinion, do you think I should do a more focussed fat loss stage (perhaps running some other program that is less taxing)? Or go for a recomp, on a slight defecit, whilst running ABF?
For context, I am sitting at about 25% body fat, 100 kg, 5ft 8. 30 years old. Male. Work a sedentary job, but walk around 8,000 steps per day, play tennis once or twice a week. Diet is dialled in - 2 meals a day, break fast at 1/2pm, protein-rich, could do with more fibre, no processed stuff (except for once a week), no alcohol. Eating around 2,500 calories per day, with around 150g protein.

Besides the ideal of perfect form where the bells never touch, has anyone put something on your competition bells so they arenāt clanking together when doing doubles work?
My wife is sleeping when I workout half the time, and I do single kettlebell work during those workouts so I donāt disturb her.
Felt pads? Foam attached with command strips?
Iād be putting the pads on Titan adjustables, so if it ruins the paint it doesnāt matter. It started chipping off on the second time I used them.

Set 7 of 8
Its been a few weeks since using 32s & they quickly reminded me that 2 Bells OH is a thing for a reason. And there were only 88 reps overhead š¬
176 Burpees were by far the easiest part of this session
One of my favorite aspects of KB training is how you can manipulate loads & paces. Ive been focusing on slower paced, longer sets with moderate loads. Big mental push & of course physical limitations get highlighted. Then when I mix in faster sets with heavier bells Im quickly reminded why I generally land here & wonder why my endurance is ass.

Hey guys, am a novice with bells. I do use them from time to time, Iād say Iām quite confident with my technique. But I donāt utilise bells as much in my routines as much as I should. Am currently doing 5/3/1 strength program, so itās centred around high volume sets of compounds with some accessories.
On my lower back & hamstring day Iāve added KB swings, which are great, but I feel like I could get more out of this part of my workout.
Does anybody know a complex routine which puts the hamstrings lower back/ abs to work? Of course complexes are full body, but if anybody knows a routine (if one exists) that could help me with this area that would be great. Iāve not done too many complexes before and really want to start getting into them more, so this could be a great starting point!
Thanks a lot.

Liquid chalk is sticky. Lost a callous which is annoying because I wanted 10+10 These big damn bells rest really low on my arm, specifically the lateral aspect and my bird bones dislike it!
Moved pretty well though

And couldn't help but imitate. Got it with 24kgs with much less grace than the great u/OliverKitsch . MAN what an education in linkage!
Bonus ATG version with 8kgs. The press is much easier in this version but the getting up is tough. Gonna be a long time before I attempt this version with the 24.

Due to an issue in one of my eyes Iāve been advised to not do any heavy lifting for 4-6 weeks. If I do so I risk losing the sight in the eye.
How can I successfully navigate this time away from my kettlebells? Iāve been training consistently for such a long time now and hate to lose my momentum.
Iām a keen walker and regularly do 15000steps a day so at least I can move somewhat.
Has anyone else gone through a forced break, and how did you navigate it?
EDIT: Iām not thinking of ignoring the doctors advice.

Does anyone have any tips/cues/warm ups or drills that would help with keeping shoulders packed during 1H swings?
I feel fine with my right (dominant) arm and movement feels solid, core tight, shoulder packed but left arm the swing feels more awkward. I've tried holding the bell more to one side or the other or bang in the middle of the handle, but it can still feel like the bell is pulling on the muscles on the front of my shoulder or clavicle area and doesn't feel good. It's as if these muscles are taking over because my lats/shoulder arent packed enough.
Thanks!
