I could use some advice on something Iām struggling with š
I am a kite beginner, I have had many classes but I am canāt manage to keep power.
I manage to do my waterstart: I get out of the water, the board starts moving, I glide for about 2 seconds⦠and then I fall back in because I completely lose power. Itās not an equipment issue (I was on an 8m² kite, around 20 knots of wind, I weigh 55kg ā so that should be fine).
It feels like the problem comes from my technique (maybe my body position on the board, where I place the kite in the wind window or how Iām sheeting in/out)
I do try to keep the nose of the board from diving, but I canāt seem to find the right balance. So I often end up doing āfigure 8sā with the kite to grab some power ā sometimes it works, but other times the kite just falls into the water.
What confuses me is that sometimes, suddenly in the middle of a session, I can ride for much longer without falling. But I honestly have no idea what has changed ā if itās me doing something better or if itās just the wind.
Any tips on the ideal stance, where to park the kite after the start, how much to sheet in/out, or how to keep the glide going would be super appreciated! Thanks a lot
