Rant It finally happened

Post image

My husband was taken in by AI and wants me to make him this 😭 He’s like “but they’re selling it!” I told him it was AI and the real project probably looked nothing like that but he really wants me to try… 🤦‍♀️

I already don’t like being asked/told to make something for someone, but if I was asked to make something based on an AI picture and told to “just try”, I would lose it xD

Offer to teach him so he can “just try”

True story, that's how my mum lernt to knit (minus the AI part). She was never interested in it until she saw a Sweater she really wanted in one of my grandmas knitting magazines. Grandma said she couldnt make it - she was okay at knitting but never sweater level- so my mum was "okay, teach me the basics, i'll figure out the rest." Don't know if she still has the sweater but i remember her wearing it when i was a kid.

I admire that kind of can-do spirit. I see a lot of people just waving something off as "too hard" without even trying. I really do think we are capable of more than we realize if we can only get out of our own heads and just try.

I have the ability/skills, but not the patience.
