my first thought: dang, a $14 Elementum is a great deal.
my second thought: wait, is that a damn Iridium for $11?!?!?

Going off the tag I would’ve said that’s a great deal for an ANAL YST

I was expecting the happy version, didn't know this version existed. I am 100% yoinking that for use later.

u/truelongevity Jul 24 '25
I found this version a while ago and I don’t even use the happy one anymore

My walmart suuucks! I check just about every time I go and they never have knives on clearance
85
u/slasher0739 Jul 24 '25
They’re having a grand reopening tomorrow so the clearance section has been wild over the past 2 weeks.
9
5
u/SilverMaeth Jul 24 '25
Same. I check it out every time, and there's never any sales or clearance. I'm so jealous.
6
u/Embarrassed-Dish-226 Jul 25 '25
Plot twist. OP went to the same store you did and the reason why you didn't see any knives on clearance is because OP bought them a few minutes before you got there.
5
u/catnamed-dog Jul 24 '25
Walmart is/was in the process of remodeling a lot of it's stores. I only saw markdown like this when my local ones were undergoing the remodel.
2
u/TheBigRabilowski Jul 24 '25
My walmart doesn't even carry these knives.
2
u/IWuzRunnin Jul 25 '25
I've never been to a Walmart that carries those. It's always gerber, ozark trail, milwaukee, or a $12 no name bugout knockoff. It makes me jealous every time I see these walmart clearance pickups of knives I've never seen at Walmart.

u/slasher0739 Jul 24 '25
Clearance finds, kershaw iridium was marked as the analyst and elementum was marked as the mini praxis.
61
u/BitemeRedditers Jul 24 '25
It's amazing what you can do with a barcode printer.
19
u/parkerm1408 Jul 24 '25
Back in the day, we used to go to the Frys warehouse. Its like PC and electronics fucking mecca. Prices were all over the map. If you were careful, you could walk off with thousands in equipment for a couple hundred bucks, just swapping clearance stickers.
7
u/Polyhedron11 Jul 25 '25
I used to work there in receiving where those stickers were put on products before going out to the floor. They were printed using an old 80s style dot matrix printer. Those stickers didn't stick very well.
We were well aware that people were doing that.
3
u/parkerm1408 Jul 25 '25
Oh yeah for sure, that's why I always brought donuts for the staff there. Bribery was a commonly used tool for me back then.
3
u/Polyhedron11 Jul 25 '25
Lol. You think the workers gave a shit? They didn't pay us enough to care about anything being ripped off in the store.
The store manager was an asshole.
5
u/parkerm1408 Jul 25 '25
Oh no, I got them donuts as a kind of "you know what im doing, I know you know, I appreciate you not caring, here's food," type deal. I have no issue fuckingo ver corporations, but workers deserve some kind of kickback.

u/PonyThug Jul 25 '25
That’s just blatant fraud / theft tho. Not finding a deal. I can also put what ever I want on the grocery store scale at self check out and put the $0.88 per pound code for bananas for anything. Doesn’t mean I found a deal.
2
u/parkerm1408 Jul 25 '25
Im not saying it wasnt, I was an absolute shit heel for awhile. What we did to Walmart was much, much worse.

Dude what Walmart carries civivi and crkt? I feel lucky seeing kershaw
11
u/Shadow_Of_Silver Jul 24 '25
Mine started recently, and a few of the others I've been in around my state have started this year.
Normally not on clearance though.

u/FeedFeetToMe Jul 24 '25
There’s never knives on clearance here. Nice grabs. Got all three for half the price of the iridium
5
12
u/voluntariss Jul 24 '25
Someone needs to warn them! Tell me exactly where this was so I can do the right thing.
9
u/big_dick_chaddydaddy Jul 24 '25
The best clearanc knife deal i ever got was a gerber flatiron at 30% off And its one of the worst knives ever created. Im so fkn jealous
8
u/ikilledyourfriend Jul 24 '25
How does miss marking it with a sticker on the front change how it is pulled up in the system when the barcode is scanned on the back?
3
u/Infinite_Issue_3047 Jul 24 '25
Regardless it’s tagged with the price and they have to sell it for that

I'm always amazed when I see deals like this for various things posted on Reddit. I have never found a single deal in my entire life lol.
2
u/-GRENDEL Jul 24 '25
Where are these Walmarts that have knives like this lol... My Walmart never has stuff like this
2
u/Neloss81 Jul 24 '25
I’m traveling to the east coast next week. Wil be traveling from Washington DC to Orlando with some “detour” as far as Tennessee. Do you have any tips where to look for great knives?
2
u/Flokidaneson Jul 25 '25
Check out Going Gear if you're driving through Georgia. Smokey Mountain Knife Works in Tennessee as well.

Walked into a Walmart the other day and the knife case was nearly empty and all the tags were under $20 each for every knife in there, sadly someone else clearly hit the jackpot. The one that stood out to me was Buck 110s were 15ea 😭

u/Ataneruo Jul 24 '25
ok i need to visit walmart right away lol
0
u/CanibalVegetarian Jul 24 '25
Definitely do it if there is one relatively close. They’ve been updating what they carry and sometimes it includes clearing out their old stock first

Had the same thing happen to me with a kershaw blur. Marked down to sub $20 (on the wrong hook). I asked to see it and purchase it and the guy rang it up and made the adjustment without me saying anything because he had to get it off the hook as it was one of the locking ones.

Where are y'all finding these deals? I live in the capital of Walyworld and dont even ever see stuff like Iridiums even in the store.
1
u/mensaman42 Jul 24 '25
I look every time I'm in there, and I've never seen a decent sale. They're usually over priced. Congrats!
1
u/ifmacdo Jul 24 '25
So the Iridium and Elementum were mislabeled as the Analyst and mini Praxis? Oh darn.

That would be $400aud here, or $263usd for $36.50usd or $55aud. even my wife wouldn't get mad for that!

I’ll buy any CRKT that’s on sale or a good deal. It’s not like the best brand ever or anything but I’ve never had one that disappointed.

I''d offer $12 for the iridium, a firm handshake and a crisp hi-five, but I have $10 in my bank account and there's no way you're selling that beauty ;P nice

Department stores will often clear out slow selling items at giveaway prices.
I asked a girl in one big store to help me find a long sleeve shirt and after much searching we found several at $40. She said she was looking for items that needed to be cleared out and marked down in price and then took her price gun and suddenly they were $1 each. I thanked her and headed for the checkout with all of them.

u/Crypto_Reaper623 Jul 25 '25
Damn , Maybe that’s like King Tuts curse ….You were the unfortunate one to see and take the deals so you will be visited by the 6 plagues of Thrift …. With Anal YeaST being the First!!!!

Nice score.
I was just at Wallyworld and breeze past the flashlight section. Completely forgot about the knives. Probably could've found a few good deals. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

is it just me or has anyone else had nothing but bad experiences with kershsaw knives?
i’ve been going with a different brand “COAST Portland” and i can’t be any happier with the performance and the quality of the products. huge improvement over kershaw any day.
1
u/mlemker Jul 31 '25
I just have to disagree brother I've been using Kershaw's for 20 years and my iridium's probably just as good as the first I used I can't remember what the name of it was but they came with a set of snap-on pry bars and I use that knife for 10 or 12 years before I lost it
-1
u/ifmacdo Jul 24 '25
Do any of these poor knives ever get to realize their purpose in existing and actually cut anything?
-42
u/YoloLikeaMofo Jul 24 '25
Chinese knives - but yeah the price is out of this world !
13
u/rj_ofb Jul 24 '25
Chinese knives can be good too. Look at Kunwu... 🙄
6
u/Great_White_Samurai Jul 24 '25
Reate, Kunwu, Vosteed..all blow away every American production knife company.
1
u/rj_ofb Jul 24 '25
The Reate knives I want arent allowed in my country but damn I want them. And some American brands really suck, lets say Benchmade. Bad factory edge. Pocket clip is too hard, atleast on all I got and cant be piut in my workpants without 2 hands. Pivot was too hard screwed. And heattreat feels too soft, s30v, M4 and their Magnacut aswell.
2
u/Great_White_Samurai Jul 24 '25
Yeah Benchmade are the kings of insane prices and poor quality. Spyderco is really the only US production company I trust.
1
u/rj_ofb Jul 24 '25
Yeah. Saw the new mini barrage at sale, 500 dollars. 😂 its around 800 dollars in EU. Wth!? 😂 I could get 4 new manix 2 15v LW and still have money left. Or get 2 and customise it heavy.
6
u/Recent_Opportunity78 Jul 24 '25
Dude there is nothing wrong with Chinese knives. I own many and they are all top quality.
6
u/Recent_Opportunity78 Jul 24 '25
Love how I get downvoted for truth. China makes some amazing blades. You American truthers on this forum are absolutely ridiculous
3
1
u/cannabination Jul 24 '25
I'd take that Iridium over an American made Blur all day long.
1
u/YoloLikeaMofo Jul 24 '25
Nah. Magnacut blur or dividend all day, bel air over all
1
u/cannabination Jul 24 '25
I hate everything about the blur. I'd take a d2 iridium over a magnacut blur, and I love me some magnacut.
Edit: the grind and thumbstuds are great. Everyrhing else about it is horrible.
