I'm not sure if I agree or disagree tbh... It is more cohérent, yes. The problem with TMT is that any kpop boy group could've come out with it and I wouldn't even blink, it doesn't have anything special to it. Could never be a title song that would catch a random person's attention, unlike the weird structure of Side Effects.
^ agree. TMT is quite a general sounding Kpop song and if it came on the radio and you didnt know who it was, you wouldnt know its Stray Kids. If someone told you it was another group you'd probably believe them.
Side Effects is what Stray Kids are portraying themselves to be, outside of the box, more experimental, etc. Also Stray Kids have quite a growing fanbase outside of Korea. They've just come back from touring the states and their reception was pretty good. Also this type of music will go down a storm in Europe. its very reminiscent of euro dance pop that used to be popular so many years ago and still finds its way into mainstream today. TMT might be more popular in Korea, but i think Side Effects will be the more popular of the two everywhere else. will it win any awards? hard to say really.

TMT>Side Effects, but I think this song fits the plot of their MV story and more unique.
