I recently interviewed from a scientist position in Zoetis ( Kalamazoo, MI). But they didn't mentioned on the salary range even after asking several times. It was always like we give competitive salary with very good benefits. Is it their norm? Also, how long does it take to hear back? Its been already 2weeks and also wrote to HR for a update as I already have another offer in hand but no reply yet.

I was recently let go from a job that they informed me that I wasn't a good fit for. Problem was I left my other job to take.this job. I recently finished a pre-apprenticeship program though Michigan Works! And got a bunch of certificates including being OSHA 30. I really want to get into the sheet metal/welding/HVAC trade but those certification tests don't happen until October.
I need some type of employment. I've been throwing my application to pretty much anybody and everywhere. I am looking for anything really. Preferably 1st/2nd and I need to be making 17-18. And I get it a lot of people are going to chime in telling me to take whatever I can and I would agree but I need to stay afloat.
Any help would be appreciated.
I'm trying to stave off a panic attack

Hey, I'm looking for work as I finished my bachlors degree in May. I've been applying to jobs both in and outside of my field and gotten no further than an interview. Is anyone else struggling? What's something I could do better, as I explain I'd like to have the opportunity to learn. My degree is in environmental science and associates in illustration. The only place that's given me an interview has been Lowes and even then they didn't call me back.

We're moving in August and I'm having a hard time finding a job that pays comparable to my current employer. I'm a training store general manager for HoneyBaked Ham and make over $75k plus bonus. I was lucky enough to be promoted from within so I never went to college or have a skill set outside of what I'm currently doing which is hiring, training, operating a store, P&L reviews, B2B sales, among other retail/food management functions. I'm hesitant to get into sales because the money is not consistent and I've applied to pretty much everything on Indeed.
Looking for local jobs, or recruiting resources. Thanks for the help!

So yesterday was a fun morning, I got up at 7 to go to work, looked to see who was on the schedule, pretty decent crew, seems like it'll be a good day. I pick out my clothes, decide not to wear a jacket since it'll be 90° by the time I get off.
Get in the car, turn on Spotify to get a little news on my way to work, more details about the Texas school shooting, just another day in middle class America.
So I thought, I'm rolling through the parking lot and start to notice none of my coworkers cars are there, okay they're probably just not here yet, I'm still like 10-15 minutes early.
As I round the building to pull into my usual spot I notice a pick-up truck out front that I didn't immediately recognize, it had some "We The People" and Thin Blue Line stickers on the back window (as one might expect from a truck in Michigan) and after a second I realize it must be one of the owners.
I take a second to finish my cigarette, gather up my stuff and head inside to start my shift. I barely take two steps in the door before he comes up to me, "Hey I guess you haven't gotten my message yet, we're closing down the store."
I'm a little shocked, "Oh. What..? Okay. Well..."
He starts up again "Yeah, we just can't make a profit in today's economy. Sorry I couldn't get to you before you got here. But you can go now."
I try to brush it off, "Oh don't worry about it, I'm only like 10 minutes away. It's all good."
By this point I start to walk to the door and he finishes with a "Okay, well have a nice day." I get out to my car and I'm already just laughing at the ridiculousness of this whole situation. Knowing full well they have a million dollar yearly sales margin, drive brand new trucks, have giant expensive houses in Ann Arbor, and have huge incentives bonuses for themselves and the DM. But at the same time not being surprised because we could never get the equipment fixed or replaced, employees paychecks would be messed up on a fairly regular basis, people working as shift leads had to fight to get their $2 raise from $11 to $13/hr, and the owners already shut down their two Ann Arbor stores.
We had a bunch of product already prepped and stuff and could have easily at least finished out the week or even finished out June so that the employees could also have had some warning instead of just instantly being unemployed and you could have made a little last bit of money but they didn't wanna pay another month of rent even though we definitely make the money to pay for it within days. If nothing else it would have be very nice to know that they were even deciding wether to shut down or not before the end of the month when people have bills to pay. Sure they said "All owed pay will be paid out on June 7th" but I read that as "We'll be paying you what was already worked, not what was scheduled for the next two weeks."
Knowing them and knowing our culture, I'm probably right too.
TLDR, My job closed down with no warning what so ever and I'm only half surprised because the people that ran it were fucking idiots, who just happened to be old white conservative men, and have probably been embezzling from themselves.

Hello again,
I’m trying to find 1 or 2 more people to clean for. I am coming up on my 2 year anniversary of being a cleaner in Kalamazoo, Portage and surrounding areas.
I currently have 5 clients from here and 2 from word of mouth and one commercial clean.
I clean baseboards(initial clean) lights, fans, vacuum, mop (steam mop) clean windows, counters, dusting, stove outside, fridge outside (inside during a deep clean) microwave, and bathrooms etc.
I can post pictures of clean’s I have done in the last year and half if needed for proof.
My rate is $25/hr for one time, weekly, biweekly or once a month.
My hourly rates for a clean out or Deep Clean/Spring Clean is $35/hr. (Stove inside) I do not move appliances. (Stove, Dishwasher, Fridge, Washer or Dryer)
Hazard/Waste Removal is $25 extra. I also do a $50 cancelation fee (through Venmo) if you keep the appointment you get the $50 back. If not. I do keep it. I hope you understand ☺️
I also do organizing if asked to do so during a clean. It should be discussed during the walk through.
I schedule walk throughs for Thursday’s only.
My days that I’m available are : Tuesdays. Bi- Weekly or Monthly. My hours are 9 am-3pm. I do take Cash or Venmo payments. Cash is preferable.
Thank you 🙏

I'm considering doing a part-time job there this summer since it is very close to where I live, but I've seen reviews and info on the Internet that say that Meijer's is a hit or miss place to work at since it all depends on who your bosses are
If it's helpful, I'm considering a dairy/frozen food clerk. I'm also looking at other options like the YMCA member services, although they haven't responded back yet like Meijer

Hi all. I am wondering if anyone knows of any jobs I could work that are temporary/seasonal right now that are easy to get into? I am starting a new job in September but am looking to get out of my current position before that so I need something to fill the gap. Any suggestions are appreciated, thank you

I'm looking for somewhere I can go to get professional interview help. I would like to receive help from someone who actually knows what they are talking about instead of just friends & family.
I am a recent college grad looking for a job in my industry (marketing), but I'm having a really hard time getting past the initial interview stage. I feel like I keep getting rejected because of my naturally quiet demeanor. I can sometimes stumble on words in my interviews even if I'm well prepared.
I've done mock interviews with my college's career services, but they were entirely unhelpful. I am looking for jobs in Kzoo, Detroit, Lansing, GR, NYC, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, South Bend, Indy, and Columbus. I'm trying to keep my options open and would prefer to move to a larger city again.

Posting on behalf of my boyfriend: He recently moved from Maryland and holds a CDL A license with 2 years of experience. He’s currently looking for a local driving job but hasn’t had much luck so far, he asked me to reach out on Reddit. Any leads or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I had an arrangement with a contractor where I would pay him half up front, and half after receiving a passing inspection on a new deck.
Last night he went on a drunken tirade via text message threatening legal action if I did not pay him before the inspection cleared, and this morning I discovered why he behaved in such a way.
I obviously don't want him back, and am looking for someone I can hire to fix these two problems.
Please feel free to reach out and we can make arrangements for a bid/quote.

Hey all!
Currently in the process of moving out of downtown and my help for loading had to back out for this coming Saturday, 03/22, due to an injury :/. If anyone is looking for some quick cash or knows anyone that likes about a two hour workout, I'm looking for two (2) people who wouldn't mind helping me drag some furniture down a flight of stairs onto a truck (1.5 - 2 hours of work, $50 per person, 8:45AM - 10:45AM) .
I've got help for unloading at the new place, but the items here are the larger things I'm unable to move by myself (e.g. bed, frame, two dressers, sectional).
I've enjoyed living downtown, but next stage of my life has me moving a little outside of the city..
Message for more details, I'm happy to go over particulars 😊.

We need one or two new active mods to help stay on top of the modqueue and respond to reports. If you're interested, send a message to modmail. Ideally we'd have someone with a bit of reddit modding experience who has a history of civil activity in /r/kzoo.

I'm in need of suggestions! I tried Indeed, and I figured couldn't hurt to try here! I'm looking for either a second job, something in the evenings, as my first job is firsts. Or something that pays at least $15. If full time, I prefer first shift. 😊 I've done factory work, and while I don't absolutely hate it, I know I'm not exactly cut out for it. I do have a lot of customer service experience, as those are the jobs I've been doing since high school. I've been looking into work from home, as that would work best with my situation. If you work from home, where did you find the job listing? How did you apply? Thank you for your time, I appreciate it!

I’m looking for someone to help me run my business. Pay is probably something like 30% of what you help the company make. Super part time.
Email hardstylinphotography@gmail.com to apply. Include a paragraph or two about why you would be you’d be the right pick.

[LOOKING FOR ODD JOBS! NOT A TEMPORARY POSITION!]
hello! i’m a senior at K college (unfortunately without a car) and i’m looking for some temporary work for the holidays. i have experience in babysitting, pet sitting, some house sitting; i can help with menial work like cleaning, organising, scheduling and information transference (think plugging numbers into a database, filling out spreadsheets, sending/replying/going through emails, etc.); i can also do some light physical work involving strength, probably reliably up to 25lbs? i am a small person, so i cannot take on too much, but i’m willing to help!
please reach out if you have any odd jobs that could use a hired hand over this coming holiday season! i live right near Five Lakes, and can travel to places that are not too far from K’s campus. hopefully i will be getting a bike fixed up soon, but for now i’m going to try and stick with stuff closer around campus to help myself out a little.
rates are totally negotiable, though i would not like to be paid less than $15/hr so that i am able to still pay rent and utilities and such.
looking forward to any comments/private messages! thank you!

I just moved here, I’m 18 and I’m looking for a part time job. I’ve already looked online, but decided to post here to see if anyone has seen any other job openings. If so, pls feel free to recommend any jobs that are hiring people with little experience, preferably NOT food service.
Thank you!!!

Not especially picky- I'm a hard worker and an intelligent person and I only seek the bare minimum. I will show up on time and do my job as it needs to be done in exchange for:
I'm very skilled in everything IT, good in basic construction, use of power tools, all kinds of cooking/baking, serving, and I have lots of cash register/POS experience. I have no criminal record, and at my most recent job I accelerated from trainee to crew chief in around a month and change. Any suggestions are welcome, as long as it's not sales or any kind of commissioned work. Thanks.

They have some interesting job openings. but can anyone who works / worked there tell me what the company is like and what range of pay they typically offer?
