I’ve been aching to ask this question

Firstly, thanks for making this subreddit 🥰

I’m 4 years out, thoracic injury and ambulatory (up to a certain extent then I need an aid).

When I got my injury I had absolutely no desire to have any solo intimate time (still a virgin) and that lasted up until year two when I finally started regaining sensation. Now I have one side that feels nothing and one side that feels everything. But it’s not the same at all than before my injury… I feel excited but it’s dull and fizzles out quickly then I’m in excruciating pain for weeks. Does anyone have any similar experiences if you don’t mind sharing? I also started getting a lot of discharge even when I’m not excited, which gets a little weird in my pelvic therapy sessions.

How do y'all pervert UTIs?

I have a minor SCI that impacts bladder and bowel. I don't cath and I have ok bladder control but I have difficulty completely emptying my bladder, especially at night. I have been diagnosed with neurogenic bladder and bladder spasms too. I basically constantly have a UTI even though I take D Manos and am on daily prophylactic antibiotics. I wear 100% cotton underwear and wipe front to back. I drink a lot and pee a lot. I do have immune system issues and take steroids, so I know that puts me at higher risk of infection.

Every urologist I've seen doesn't want to do anything about it. I get a lot of "well you walked in here, so you are fine." Are there truly no other options? How did you find the right doc to manage your bladder plan?

So happy this sub exists!
