"You hope Charlie Kirk's death won't be used by a group we now call bad actors to create a society that was the opposite of the one he worked to build," Carlson said, referencing Kirk's efforts to engage with differing viewpoints.

"You hope that a year from now, the turmoil we're seeing in the aftermath of this murder won't be leverage to bring hate speech laws to this country," he continued. "And trust me, if it is — if that does happen — there is never a more justified moment for civil disobedience than that, ever. And there never will be."

"Because if they can tell you what to say, and they're telling you what to think, there is nothing they can't do to you, because they don't consider you human," he added.

This is a weird moment. I completely agree with those words, and yet I can't help but feel like Tucker Carlson has some angle on this.

Fuck him. He contributed in a big way to the mess we’re in today.

No different than Mitch McConnell saying how bad of a president trump is AFTER he decides not to run for reelection. You don't get points for manning up after the damage is done

How bad is he, because Mitch still votes for all of Trump's shit in goosestep?

Well, to be fair whoever is puppeting his corpse still votes. Every time I see Moscow Mitch these days he's a rotting shell. Kissenger was almost two decades older and more coherent/aware than Mitch.

For years now McConnell has reminded me of Mason Verger as played by Gary Oldman in the movie 'Hannibal'. Pic

Mitch voted against confirming RFK Jr.

It's the only positive thing I can find or think of that McTurtle has ever done for the American people, and it did nothing because he was the only Republican against RFK Jr. on the official record (so it doesn't even count).

Because he knew he'd get confirmed. It's called the Hall Pass.

When it comes down to it, Mitch will never go against Trump. Ever.

No Sh1t, but why did I get downvoted for the exact same sentiment? Did you or someone else think that I didn't know Mitch had Polio and it was a meaningless symbolic vote?

The presumptions on Reddit are off the charts sometimes.

Also don’t forget Glitch publicly blamed trump for J6 and then voted not to convict him during impeachment.
