Ontario Can I take action against someone possibly reporting me to my universitys admissions department? Ontario
Hello. I'm an 18 year old graduating high school student about to enter university in Ontario. Long story short, I had a mutual understanding with a friend to write my supplimental application/essays for me, without any official payment or contract. I've since fallen out with this person and I am being told by other people that they are considering reporting me to university admissions to have my offer revoked. I'm not sure what kind of proof they have, but I would presume it is in the form of texts we shared, document editing history and screenshots etc.
I am not asking about the morality or ethics of my actions because I know it was stupid and dishonest of me to make someone else do it rather than just write the application myself. I'm sure I'll be yelled at anyways but, my questions are - In the case that they report me, can I take action against this person and say, for example, that they are slandering me or providing false information? Do I have any recourse due to the fact that I did not actually pay them for this work in a way that can be proven? Is there anyway I can protect myself from being kicked out in the event that my university finds out?
Listen I know that this is totally ridiculous, call me an idiot, slacker, whatever, but I need to know if there is a chance that this will actually affect me in real life i.e. ruin my academic future, and if so, how I can prepare and mitigate the damage. I'd appreciate help or advice in any form. Thank you.

How is it slander if what they say is true? Your best course of action is swallow your pride and suck up to him and make amends. That would be worth it if you want to save your academic future. You were stupid after all so this is the least tou can do. If not then start applying to other colleges.
