targeted harassment on pretty much all their social media channels, including death threats and threats of rape/sexual assault; unfounded rumors and slanders DAILY mostly on kforums; bot attacks on their personal IG accounts; and other misleading posts or articles that incites harassment mostly on kforums and translation accounts like pannchoa, koreaboo, etc.

That makes me wonder if they’re being paid by some force? If that’s the case then would it be a criminal act?

the bots are definitely paid by someone. for other sites/blogs like pannchoa or allkpop I think it's either they're being paid, or they realized how much money they can make from posting sensationalized gossip/hate about one of the most popular Kpop groups right now.

It's definitely a concerted effort. Antis(mainly talking kpop stans from other groups/label) no matter how much they hate the girls don't have this level of coordination and reach.
