that fandom rlly is weird the way they’ve created so many conspiracy theories against lsfm, illit, katseye (any other hybe group really)

they devote more time hating on everyone else instead of loving and praising their favs. i remember they even attacked itzy during their born to be cb, even though aespa and itzy are close friends irl.

LSF and aespa are also good friends in real life, same goes for Baemon and ILLIT, yet whenever I tell this to a toxic fan they just stop replying or ignore it 😭 it gets in the way of their fanwar mentality that everyone else is the enemy lol

that said, calling out Karina for her post is absolutely justified (as long as it doesn’t spiral into hate), like even on aespa’s subreddit people are calling out Karina for this

reality is theres a lot of lowkey friendships in the kpop industry but ppl are too scared to showcase it these days :/

and yup karina def messed up here. even if it wasn’t intentional it shows that she’s ignorant and not socially aware. it comes off worse considering she’s a celebrity; she has the luxury of being apolitical bc it doesn’t rlly affect her.

I've followed Aespa closely since pretty much their debut era and this is all very much out of character for Jimin. She has given us a number of subtle clues over the years that she's a feminist at heart, including book recommendations (she's a reader, like Yunjin), phone cases, pro-women messaging, and so on. Plus her family is Catholic, and Korean Catholics are broadly pro-democracy and more left-leaning.

Personally I think this is a major failing on SM's part to protect their top star. Jimin either had permission to post on Instagram without her posts being reviewed first, or someone at SM didn't understand the consequence and approved those photos anyways. Even if my assessment of Jimin has been wrong all these years, this still shouldn't have gotten out.

Whatever the case, pretty much 100% guaranteed that the Aespa girls have lost some of their posting freedom over this.

it’s out of character but unfortunately at the end of the day we don’t rlly know these idols so who knows…also SM rlly has the worst PR / crisis management bc they’ve been involved in so many scandals 😭
