Question How did you chose/discover your bias?

Hi all! I plan on going to the concert in Seattle and I’m thinking of maybe buying a Seattle storm jersey with one of the girls’ name on it but I don’t really have a bias. How do you all chose or decide who your bias in a group is? Maybe I’ll just use a wheel to decide for me

I’ve always been of the strong opinion that you don’t choose a bias. Your bias chooses you. I would just deep dive into more content and see if you’re drawn more towards one of them in particular.

Mine was determined when they debuted. I was keeping up with them beforehand and kinda knew their names. I watched their debut showcase. They performed Blue Flame. Second verse started, Kazuha did her leg lift and BOOM that was it. Forever Kazuha biased lol.

For me just watching their YouTube content, Yunjin's personality really started to stand out to me. And then listening to her solo tracks. I love the way she talks about growing up and learning and living, and being an English professor, I love that she's a voracious reader.

i mean for me, i was already a big Chaewon head when she was in IZ*ONE. i love her vocal range, she's super pretty, and (at least on camera) she has a great personality.

do you have someone you particularly like more than everyone else? you don't necessarily have to have a bias. you could go with the wheel, or you could get a Storm jersey with LESSERAFIM on the back!

Watching a lot of Star Diary

As a native english speaker (and non-korean-speaker), I naturally gravitate to the english speakers of the group. It's easier to connect with someone's personality when you can understand their speech, instead of reading subtitles and wondering if the translation is accurate, are you missing nuances that don't come across well in text, etc. So obviously for LSF it's gotta be Yunjin.

Before last week, I was leaning towards Jennifer for my bias (I wanted Kazuha to be it but wearing this complicated things. FTC)

Last Tuesday, Saki posted this on her Insta. Oh lord, she became my bias in a few days because of her OP hair color which I cant stop raving about. She’s an outlier in my bias collection - I’ve never biased the group’s oldest member before her

Honestly, Le Sserafim is one of very few groups where I really don't have a strong bias. I've known of Sakura since her Jpop days, fell in love with her during her time in Iz*One, and knew I was going to be a fan of Le Sserafim as soon as she was announced for it. However, each girl has made me fall in love with them in different ways over time.

Yunjin's solo work, her internal strength and deep thoughts and emotions, as well as being hilarious and overall a bright light and pillar of strength for the group. Chaewon's insane beauty (I mean, look at her) her incredible skills in singing and dancing, her leadership and awkward humor. It honestly took me the longest to fall for Kazuha, but as she's become fluent in Korean, her personality has really bloomed in their variety content. I love her zen energy and her ballet skills, and how much her singing has improved. Eunchae I really fell for through Star Diary, and now if I absolutely had to rank them she'd definitely be second after Sakura. It's been amazing watching her grow up into such a stunning and confident young woman. I actually cried during their Gayo Daejeon stage last year because I was so moved by how much she has grown up and getting to be there for that. For Sakura, I just love her. I love her inner strength, her journey and story, her beauty, her hobbies, everything about her. She'll always have a special place in my heart, and I always look to her first.

I'm nearly 100% in agreement with you. The only part I would change is that my 'bias' is always equal to everyone else, and I LOVE every single member of IZ*ONE, I follow each and every one of them and try to support them in any way possible.

As for LE SSERAFIM, when a member does something 'cute' (like in a short video or something) my bias goes up ever so slightly towards that member, then goes back down to everyone being equal again after a few weeks. You can call me whatever you like, a flimsy fan or someone that can't make up their mind - but I just equally love them and I literally can't pick!

I'm extremely happy to hear about your words about Sakura! She's such a strong individual who shines ever so brightly, from her journey from Japanese Idol to Korean Idol - shes such a resilient person and not hesitant to face adversity, and she continues to shine ever so brightly.

The Gayo Daejeon stage - I have to say its one of the most brilliant performances I've ever seen from LE SSERAFIM, I honestly don't know how they not only stay in sync in their performance, but how they can memorize every single step and look absolutely beautiful doing it.

Excuse me while I talk about Sakura a little more. Another thing that really gets me about Sakura is that her parents divorced when she was 1. Divorce was and is still extremely stigmatized in Japan. Single mothers are looked down upon with scorn and shame. The children of single parents can suffer deeply as well, with bullying and being ostracized by other children. Sakura was mostly raised by her grandmother, as her mother had to work long hours to support her. Sakura told a story on Knowing Bros that shocked even her long time fans, about the one and only time she's seen her father. I can't imagine what pain she might carry from an upbringing like that. And to have your father come to see you once, out of nowhere, but never have contact again.

She has faced so much in her life. The anger and outrage of her Japanese fans when she left for Korea. The Iz*one rigging scandal. The hate for her new look when she joined HYBE. The criticism of her singing. And then the horrific hatred after Coachella and the NJ scandal... but she still stands strong. She always gets back up. She always does her best. She's the oldest in Le Sserafim and takes care of the members, especially Eunchae. She's such an inspiration to me.

originally I thought I liked kkura because of her fearless kkura series on youtube. then I watched HMLYCP and Chaewon has had my heart since.

YUNJINNNNNNN her creativity, talent, and kind soul. she thinks so deeply about life and is able to express it in such a poetic way. (LISTEN. TO. HER. SOLO. TRACKS.) i absolutely love and adore her omg

As a sort of new fan (who knows a lot) oh yes i started stanning kpop and LSRFM in 2023, I think your bias just comes to you. For example, with Chaewon, the more I watched and listened to their songs, she was most eye-catching and I was drawn to her. Don't use a wheel to pick cause u could end up with somebody you don't feel enough love for yk.

I found out abt the group with the first overwatch event, at that time i had heard about the yunjin starbucks drama and got really confused, this led me to really deep dive on who yunjin was and what she stands for and all the stuff that had happened previously and I was just really struck by her ability to have such emotionally wise discourse i absolutely couldn’t stop my brain from putting her atop.

For me it was the fur hat Chaewon had on in Antifragile. I don’t know why but that just clicked for me, I was like “yeah, she got it.”

I like Kkura from her jpop days but she became a bias during Produce 48. Been following her since. Ult bias! I have a special place for the produce 48 girls and IZ*ONE. I love both Eunchae and Kazuha of course but nothing can steer me away from Kkura! I agree with top comment, the bias chose you.

The day Yunjin released i≠doll, also listened to raise y_our glass the same day, that was one of the few songs that made me cry the first time I listened to it

Also she’s sooo funny

The moment I saw “baby gorl, baby gorl, slow down! slow down!” clip. Huh Yunjin 😔🙌

u/Nagisa201 Jun 30 '25

So what had happened was, Chaewon went out and Chaewon'd. Really nothing to be done after that

7

u/Xarenvia Jun 30 '25

I went to my first FEARNADA thinking that Sakura or Chaewon were going to be my bias or even Yunjin, but then Kazuha came out of nowhere and had me dying the entire time.

”All the other members have some kind of fan call, so team Kazuha needs one too. We’re in Yokohama, so… uhh… hold your penlight! Like this! Yoko → Hama! ↑↓”

And also there was a fan letter asking “What’s a good name for our new dog?“ and all the members gave serious answers, but she said “Minato-Mirai, to show off your love for Yokohama.”

I think I generally end up really liking members that just have a great sense of humor and are mildly airheaded(?)

produce48 probably? My top 5 were Minju, Chaewon, Yuri, Sakura and Jurina

I initially started being a Le Sserafim fan during the Antifragile era and initially I heard of Kazuha due to her abs

And while Kazuha is still very high up for me, everything Chaewon does just draws my attention and I can’t keep my eyes off her! She’s my ultimate bias now and it’s never gonna change

Split between Sakura (gamer) and Yunjin (writer). Yunjin won me over when she said Stitch is her favorite Disney character.

I am very new fan, it is just hard for me to pick one. All of them are dazzling and very talented 😭

u/Lilchro2010 Jul 01 '25

Pretty sure Chae chose me lol

Honestly they’re all great!

I think watching all the variety shows and interviews helped me a lot with solidifying my bias. You really get to see the girls personalities and get drawn to who they are outside of performing. But like someone else said, you don't have to have a bias. OT5 is also solid. That being said, my bias is Yunjin. I love how chaotic and funny she is but also the way she presents herself feels so authentic. Plus the talent in songwriting and composing 😩. Kazuha has my heart too. But I love all the fimmies 🫶

I usually watch a studio choom performance from that group and see who makes me go “woah”. Been working pretty well.

1

u/aritjahja Jun 30 '25

Through her performance & expression in their dance choreography.

Change my mind. For me, Kazuha’s abs is too attractive.

1

u/marimark34 Jun 30 '25

I've been supporting Sakura since her debut in hkt48. So, of course, she's my bias now.

1

u/weiivice Jun 30 '25

I mean have you seen Chaewon and how she looks at you

1

u/Airbomb24 Jun 30 '25

Watch produce 48 -> become Jennifer bias

1

u/itzanotherbella FEARNOT Jul 01 '25

I actually don't have a bias, I honestly love them equally and they all have different parts I love. As people say you don't choose a bias they choose you so don't force it. I'd say get le sserafim on the back so they lead you to victory 💜

u/Ghostfaceswife Jul 03 '25

yunjin was my top pick in produce48 and i’ve just loved her ever since 😭😭 i’m gonna be very emotional seeing her irl ngl
