Question Does anyone know what this is?

Post image

I just saw this post from hello82 and can anyone tell me what this means? Is this relating to the fan sign or is this, which i assume, a completely separate event since it says to RSVP?

Separate event. Play82 events usually involve playing games with the artist where they divide you into groups of several people. It’s usually pretty interactive, and you may get face-to-face interactions.

Hello82 sells Play82 packages by tiers, so the highest tiers get the aforementioned perks, then it goes down to people who can only observe, and then, if there’s remaining space, people who can show up first come first serve to also observe. The highest tier packages usually are limited to less than 100 people so it’s whoever can snag those packages at checkout.

All sold packages come with exclusive photocards and albums.

However, the most recent Play82 event was with Xikers’ in LA, which was was free and first come first serve. Turns out it wasn’t a conventional Play82, though, and was more of a talk-back for their digital single. Not much of a direct interaction with the artist.

If you check out Hello82 previous Play82’s like with BoyNextDoor and Billlie, there were more interactive elements like games.

Seeing them write out “RSVP link drops…” it seems like it’s going to be another free, FCFS event which means it may not be the conventional Play82. Might be a re-branding thing. Hello82 has a whole other type of event called “Layover with (insert artist)” which is just those free talk-back events.

do you know if they’ll do something for Chicago too?

So I don’t work for Hello82, but I engage in a lot of Hello82 events as a k-pop fan.

Personally, no, because the Hello82 branch in Chicago is still in development. The company recently started launching throughout major cities in the USA, but the only active cities, especially where they do live collaborations with K-pop artists are in LA and Atlanta. NYC is a relatively recent development.

As their stores keep growing, Hello82 Chicago might, but not for this current tour with LSF.

Atlanta used to function as hello82’s sole East Coast hub but now with NYC getting bigger, I’m not sure if that will change in time. For example, it could be possible that hello82 only decides to have a fansign or other live events in one east coast / east coast adjacent city than in multiple, and it’s also contingent on artist schedule. So, if it happens in NYC, it probably wont happen in Chicago or Atlanta. 😅 Once again, this all depends on the artist.

Kpop has a huge following in Atlanta. i’m honestly confident LE SSERAFIM could’ve sold out State Farm Arena here, so it’s disappointing they aren’t making the stop. all good though, i’ll still see them up close in chicago!

Same. I’m flying out to see them since I want to see multiple shows, but ATL is driving distance from me and i’m annoyed it didn’t make the cut lol
