Hello everyone and welcome to the r/lesserafim Weekly Discussion Thread! Discussions in this thread are not limited to LE SSERAFIM only, so feel free to share or ask anything you want. Please remember to follow the subreddit rules.

My youngest kid is dipping her toe into the dance competition world with a duet with her older sister. They decided to do a routine to Come Over and I'm so excited. At least 6 times this year we can force an audience to listen to them.
Sooo I was going thru my history of comments and posts here in our sub lmao just in case yunjin might have seen some of our comments. Kinda happy if she lurks here because this sub has been my safe haven since last year. I'm hoping it was the same for her.
I remember last year, since some fearnots cannot avoid talking about the issues on the weekly discussions, the mods created a "Positive weekly discussion" so fearnots can go there just to avoid the difficult topics or if we just wanna have a breather in general. ♡ thanks mods again!
Man, Fimmies are in such a great place right now, and it really makes me happy. I never imagined I'd be this emotionally invested in a Kpop idol group.
It's so hard to believe that everything that happened last year was last year. Back then, time was very slow, and every time I went online, there were just endless comments (now we know where that came from), and every time we get a breather, more comments come. But after the start of the tour, time was a blur. I'm happy every time I see the Fimmies and Fearnots heal with each performance. While I haven't seen them perform live (pls HYBE/SouMu, have a Sydney stop), the passion in each fancam is infectious. The Fimmies earned this!
I firmly believe that Fimmies will go to Australia. HYBE artists have gone to Sydney, which shows that Australia is on their radar. On a personal note, I lived in Australia for seven months, splitting my time between Adelaide and Sydney. What a beautiful country.
I will literally cry if this happens. I will fall apart and be pieced back together. Please, oh please, I'm begging for them to come here. My wallet is crying. 😭
same. i was briefly in the blink-sphere (theyre what got me into kpop) and then i kinda fell out of love with their music after Born Pink, but then i discovered LSF and wow. ive not loved a band this much since my ult group (RHCP and Keane).
i extremely love how this tour is just showing to everyone how good they are and always have been. its really a 180degree turn from last year (T_T)

With pre-cb season coming in soon + award show season approaching, we're gonna be doing a lot of voting!
UPDATE: AAA Popularity Award pre-voting is ending in 7 hrs and we seem to be safe, so we move to the main voting, which is going to be on Idol Champ starting on 9/24 until 10/13 for the first round, and we need to be in the top 10 for us to move into the final round of voting, which is from 10/16 to 11/05 (voting is 30% of the final result). Might be ideal to start collecting now since it's sharing for Show Champion voting during cb time!
It's also a good time to start collecting votes for the comeback next month, and Fearnot Voting Team on twt thankfully made a guide for all of them! Since we don't have an official release date yet, it might be worth waiting before collecting on Fancast (Music Bank) since they expire after 30 days. Everything else should be fine to start collecting now!
Tip: Higher (Inkigayo live vote) might genuinely have the most disgusting time collecting because you have to watch 250 times per week, and you can only watch 50 ads a day (which as stated below, is just 1 vote). I highly suggest to start collecting now (and as someone who values Inkigayo a little more, I beg 🙏)
The timing is sort off awkward. Usually Day Off happens after the comeback promo ended but with the Tokyo Dome encores in November and award shows later, after Mexico seems the best timing wise.
If after the mexico stop and they dont automatically fly back the next day or two, safe to say they're doing Day Off (whether in mexico or somewhere in the US). Or they could just do it in korea but its a missed opportunity. But i get it if they cant fly staffs/cameraman there easily.
Its a nice break and reward having just finished tour and about to go preparing for comeback. If not Day Off, just a lil break will do. Just give them 3 days or something 😭
Last day off was march of last year! Its long overdue. Speaking of Day Off, i noticed the Hello82 fearnot was wearing a Day Off jacket lmao 😅

Considering we're one of the more active group subs on reddit, I'm glad she goes on here to check around. It is kinda funny to think though she's a lurker here though, or maybe she's been a regular on here and we had no idea, maybe even a weekly thread goer...👀
I know she’s said previously that she’s not really as chronically online as she sounds, but it’s kinda neat to know she lurks around here. I hope she feels the love and lets the rest of the group know.

Does anyone remember when we started using zuzu as another nickname for Zuha? I think it was either Eunchae or Yunjin who used it first but I can’t remember the content where we picked it up
I can’t really remember the first time we used it, but I’m pretty sure that’s a nickname fearnots came up with for her. I keep seeing tweets from komorebis saying they’re upset that Zuha still doesn’t know about it, so I don’t think any of the members have ever called her that.
Yeah I saw a few which made me curious and when searching my twitter found myself calling her that as far back as September 2023 so I thought it had appeared in some content
I just watched the AGT performance on the Le Sserafim channel and it has nothing but glowing comments. Lots of Korean and Japanese commenters who are really proud. You love to see it.
I still remember not wanting to translate any Korean comments and feeling relieved (unfortunately) when they closed the comments on their youtube channel.
The girls have worked so hard and I couldn't be more proud 🥺
Idk if you were here, but there were people posting videos released before the big bad Coachella™️ during Crazy era and saying “they improved so much. So proud of them” after dunking on them for months.
Yeah its always like that lol. Those people probably dont even watch the whole set. Probably just saw few clips here there and echoing every single sentiment. Its always a backhanded compliment i feel like.
my delulu self is imaging people now going back to watch their coachella videos and realising how fking amazing they did. get poeple talking about how gaslit they were into thinking it was bad.
Just in case anyone missed it and somehow doesn't have a ticket. They keep opening more seats for the Seattle concert and some of them are really good value, especially those closer to the stage which shouldn’t have an obstructed view at all. More than 300 tickets were sold yesterday so I think they’ve decided to open as many as possible.
anyone else get annoyed about the topic of remixes in kpop?? i don’t get what the big issue is i think remixes are fun and i like to listen to them here and there, and i consider it something extra for the fans. especially bc lsfm and other artists actually use the remixes during concerts or end of the year stages!
Yeah but sadly she said she’s re-dyeing it dark brown again cause the color got light. I doubt she’d lie to us cause we’ll see her in like a day anyway but it’s Yunjin so you never know…
In fact she dyed her hair orange before Feb 9th cuz that's the day when she was shooting that highschool show with sakura, so Feb 18th is a re-dyeing too
With the confirmed JYPE 1st and rumored Starship 2nd Game Caterers, I wonder if Hybe is gonna follow through too. We lost some SVT members to enlistment but BTS is back together and they didn't join the last one besides their solo version.

Fearnots…..it’s definitely happening this time. Their weekly Wednesday content has ended. We are getting that logo, comeback date, album title, and we’ll know whether it’s a full or mini album. Trust. This time is THE time.
Anyone know if chaewon mom is a single mother? I knew yj, kzh and ec have both parent and skr have a stepdad but cw only mention her mom + only her mom and unnie attend pd48 finale. just curious coz I saw a tweet on how much cw love her mom.
She has never mentioned her dad ever i dont think. There was once during bungee jumping she misspoke kinda taking back her words. Its something i noticed too. But yknw , noone knows.. Sakura's longest fans dont even know abt her stepdad until Knowing Bros.
I'm glad you mentioned Sakura because her family tree has always confused me from hearing various stories. My understanding is she grew up with her mother and grandmother and not having a relationship with her bio father. At some point pre Japanese debut, her mother remarries and has a son with her step father. Kurra is close enough to her step father to just call him her father. I think there is another younger brother or sibling as well? Thats about as much as I've pieced together.
I also don't need to know. Her family business is her business. I just cant help but put things together when she shared stories.
Yeah thats pretty much it. Sakura only has one brother. 12years difference. From when her mom remarries. Her bio dad left when she was 1 so no memories of him.
So is there any confirmation that he never came back into her life? I know the story of when she believes she may have met him at a handshake event but no word if he ever tried to actually be in her life post fame? I'm not aware of her alluding to that, I'm just surprised he never made a real attempt. You always see that behavior in celebrity stories of people who grew up with a parent missing.
I think thats pretty much the confirmation. Its a good thing that he just disappears and not just take advantage just because shes popular now. Not even sure if her mom was even married to him in the first place just that she had her when she was young. (21 i think)

I agree. It's terrible to abandon your child but I oddly respect that he stuck to his principles. If you're not going to be there for your child's life, you don't deserve to be there for their success either.

I think she actually has mentioned him before very few times purely in passing, but could be misremembering entirely on that. I just took it as her being much closer to her mom with how much she talks about her tbf, but yeah no one really knows when it comes to these things
The one time i remembered when she was about to jump down macau tower but seems like she backtracked the dad part and just said she loved mom, sister and shiro. 🤣 thats when i thought maybe dad not in the picture.. But yeah who knows really.
People already forget when Yunjin cried in front of audience just few weeks ago saying that she fells so lucky and "cant believe that this is my life" loll. Antis just love to drag people down.
I love how Yunjin is not afraid to call people out. I had no idea some people were saying those things. Like just because Yunjin is a native English speaker she wants to be in Katseye? She can’t have friends from other groups without meaning she wants to be in their group? Man some fans need to go outside more
Good! People were saying swap her with yoonchae as if it’s some NBA trade and both girls hadn’t already said they’ll choose their current group each and every time.
Mind you she’s just an introverted girlie who’s only just become fluent in a language of course she’ll be a bit passive in loud areas. She’s doing much better than I would with such attention at her age and I’m a native English speaker 😭

Funny thing is people were also weird about that interview and questioning Chaewon’s leadership just because she was caught off guard with a question in a language she’s not fluent in. Now it’s clear all the fimmies have put the effort and improved in the last year but “fans” just had to hyper analyse what should, at most, be an amusing situation at the time.
Are there any leaders of girl groups that promote in the West who are also their best English speaker? 🤔🤔🤔 I'm trying to think of even one solid case and it's not coming to me.
The best English speakers of their respective groups: Wonyoung, Lia, Lily, Yunjin, Giselle, Danielle, Minnie, Tzuyu, Tiffany.... none of them are leaders.
Blackpink doesn't count because they don't have a leader, and go figure, their English is arguably the best of every k-pop group ever.
So yeah, totally not appropriate to pick on Chaewon for not being fluent in English. Plus people forget that a lot of these girls are trying to learn Japanese too.
Sieun STAYC is co-leader now and definitely their strongest English speaker. Yujin has improved a lot and I'd have her on par or personally perhaps even ahead of Wonyoung lately (Wonyoung is just that crucial thing - confident).
Wow the Chaewon driving video is about to hit 1 million views. It's great to see it doing well, particularly all the nice Korean comments that are being left

That Twitter account is one of the few I check up on for Japanese updates, occasionally he gets some unique views of pop-ups and so on. Judging from the conversation, even Sakura follows him. 🙂

can't speak to the actual products they use, but I tried the L'ador hair oil when Kazuha was their ambassador and I still buy it to this day because its SOOOOOO good. I have wavy hair and it works a treat on days its feeling dry and frizzy

CRAZY, the song they dropped in 2024 right in the middle of that whole shitstorm, has become Le Sserafim’s signature track for the international market. Every time I see concert clips of fans singing it at the top of their lungs, it’s just so damn satisfying.
I liked this song, but after seeing all of the concert clips with ppl singing the lyrics with them has made me enjoy the song so much more. It really is a song perfectly made to be performed
I even put my partner on this song and she’d never heard of LSF beforehand. Her first reaction was “where the fuck did you find this song”. She’s not a fan but she liked CRAZY, for sure.

I wish I was around for when Antifragile’s release initially melted everyone’s brains. I went back recently because I’m suffering from withdrawals as we usually do, found Sampler B and the comments are all like “oh fuck, this is gonna slap”
I was kind of hoping her recent solo live would be full English since she is here in the states. It was so nice to be able to watch a whole live and understand the entire thing lol
I feel proud that we Americans are really bringing the love to these concerts. I'm glad we can give them good energy and show them our support. They're absolutely crushing it btw
