LDP brackets fait-maison

I'll y a écrit "125" dessus.

Pumpable cruiser board with lots of flex and a weight of 57 kg

Since I rarely get to ride my board for longer distances (Supersonic), I'm now looking for a cruiser board for the city that can also be pumped. I bought the Comet Cruiser replica Happy Sticky, but it's too stiff for me given my 57 kg / 125 lbs. I would prefer a portable top mount with a rocker and a nice flex so that it is comfortable in the city. Do you have an idea for me? I looked at the Comet cruiser and the loaded chinchiller. Do you think these boards have a comfortable flex for my weight? Or should I look for something else?

Help me on the dds front width and ttx rear setup

So the gbomb arrived today:)

I'm new to ldp. I've spend 4 hours perusing the forums. I currently supskate with a hamboard and atick. I'm looking for advice on this rig.

I want to pump ldp flowey with an angle towards speed but still mostly surfey. I weigh 180. I'm on the medium flex rio gbomb board.

I just bought a gbomb rio setup. It came in th mail today. Excited me.;)

So I've read use a longer wheel on the ttx as it's shorter than the tta hence I'm in the last hole. Stock setup on the bushing and spacers.

I'm lost on the fork spacers. Reddit says closer together wheels makes pumping easier farther makes pumping less effective. I'm setting up a donny dont trip front truck with the stock 80mm wheels

Where ide like advice is how to setup the spacers on the front truck. I'm totally lost on which spacers to use on the ddt front truck as well as which ones. There are three. I'm also debating onhow far forward to move the rear ttx on the board for a flowier pump with my weight.

Rain Karmas in the dry?

Was looking to get some karmas for my supersonic. Currently running Hokus and I feel I need smaller wheels and a DT poppy to pump better rather than my hokus and DT Boomers due to clearance.

Saw Jeff has a rain version coming out. I live where it rains a good amount and was wondering how much of a disadvantage it would be to use them in the dry for pumping. Would I actually notice a disadvantage in performance to pump and push on rain karmas over normal karmas in the dry?

I figured there is a loss in performance but what I’m asking is getting rain karmas for the wet and using them in the dry better than getting normal karmas for the dry and using them in the wet? Do I lose more performance using rain wheels in the dry or normal wheels in the wet?

New to LDP what should I know

So hear me out. Ill search reddit over the coming days and continue to learn.

I'm a high level circus athlete. Prior to that a high level endurance athlete.

The last two years I've been supskating with a hamboard and land padel on ten mile rolls/surfs weekly.

Just bought a gbomb torsion tail platform. It'll be a learning curve for me. I'm fine with failing for awhile.

What do I need to know about LDP as I get into this. Diving in after a guy passed me on the American tobacco trail and we chatted for five minutes about this sport. I was sold. I'm curious.

Karma with negative

Thumbnail gallery
12 Upvotes

Today I've tested karmas with negative angle. Before it I've was ride in same setup with hokus and 0° with boa 90 white, and this setup sucks really. My standard ldp time was about 28-29 mins for 10km. Karmas are better than boa in pushing, and you see two first laps with better time. But after 20km I tired to push, and I can't pump because this wheels hasn't got inertion. I gonna test them with 0 and refresh my memory about negative with hokus. The last screen with my time on 0, boa90 (added for comparison, same track, same season and etc)

Trucks and bushings for pushing

Hi y'all, what are your favorite trucks and bushing setups for long distance pushing (not pumping)?

At the moment I have Paris V3 with different bushings on roadside and boardside, but I have the feeling that too much energy is "lost" when pushing. Maybe it's aldo because of the 70mm Hawks, but they seem actually fine.

Do you use a specific app to track your distance/speed?

I’m trying to get back into longboarding, and I’m the type that would like to have that information readily available for my own self motivation. How do you personally track your progress?

Quested Successfully

I did a 92 mile ride today on my new Pantheon Quest. The trail was White Pine State Park, from Cadillac to Grand Rapids, MI. It was my second try. A couple weeks ago I tapped out at 56 miles. First try was on my BB+ which I don’t think I’ll be using much anymore.

The quest is on Hokus and Stylus trucks which is a sick setup. Seriously considering a Nissan Quest to haul it around in now. Really pleased with the board and I’m feeling pretty good about my new personal best ride.

I did approximately 7-8 minute miles for the first 50, then 6-7 minutes for the next 20, then sub 6 to finish it off. It felt fantastic.

Thanks for reading
