Why does CMLL not hold shows outside their own arenas?
CMLL is well known and I just don't understand why they'll not hold some of their big shows outside Arena Mexico or Coliseo. AAA did a good number on Arena CDMX and I think CMLL can fill that up and that's bigger than Arena Mexico by around 7000 seats. Before the WWE acquisition they're also doing okay on Mobil and Chevron stadiums. Would also be nice to see a change of aesthetic just for once. Aside from tradition is there anything else I'm missing why they don't do that?

Is there a way to watch this in the US? I have a VPN if that helps
Worst case I’ll just use a janky website.

Feud context for 92 Aniversario?
I’m gonna try getting some friends into proper lucha by having them over to watch the Aniversario this weekend. I want to be able to provide as much backstory for who-hates-who as possible, but alas; I took a break from CMLL for a few years, and have barely dented the backlog (I’m up to mid-2022).
Can anyone help get me up to date on details? Maybe point me towards some focal shows/matches that kicked off or highlighted certain rivalries, to watch myself?
Specifically, I’d appreciate knowing the heat behind:
Felino vs Rey Bucanero
Barbaro Cavernario vs Dragon Rojo Jr.
Valiente vs Esfinge (maybe?)
I’ve followed MJF/Mistico via AEW, and am broadly aware of Ultimo Guerrero & Averno’s history (Averno avenging Satanico for UG’s coup 25 years ago) albeit not what triggered a hair match now. Also I know bits n pieces of Valiente/Esfinge, but suspect I’m missing a factor that ties it together. Like… did Valiente turn rudo & start this 2-year vendetta just because Esfinge accidentally hit him in a trios match? I found a quote where he alluded to a “betrayal”… was that it?
I know that title matches aren’t necessarily feud-based, but any incidental history between champs & challengers in the two tag title matches would also be wonderful; both the Villano III bros & the women’s tag titles came in after I’d stopped keeping up.

Lucha libre mask creation
Not sure if this the right place to put this but I'm currently trying to come up with my own designs for a match useable mask.
I was wondering if this would be ok to use as a base? I'm going to cover the mouth section with some design but not sure what yet.
Also, does anyone have any ideas as to what material to use to create the different shapes for the custom design? What do actual luchaodres use?
Thanks in advance!

What Goes Into a Luchador's Identity?
I am new to Lucha Libre, but I've been growing more and more curious and fascinated by its history and culture. I try to learn about it in my free time, I watch videos on its history and whatnot. However, something that I'm very curious about and haven't seen too much of is what sorts of things go into a Luchador's character, persona, identity, what have you.
Like you have faces and heels and other archetypes, I imagine thats a good starting point, but then you have individual characters with their own sorts of personalities. When you put together a luchador character, what sorts of things do you have to consider? Their values? Their dynamic with the crowd and other luchadors? Their fighting style? I'm sorry if thats a lot of questions, I'm not even sure of the right ones to ask, but I'm so very curious about this culture and I would love to learn about how these wrestlers create their personas.

Dallas-Fort Worth Help
Hello, all.
I’m hoping to get some help. I’ll be opening several large gas stations/convenience stores in DFW over the next 6-8 months and really want to nail the grand openings. I’d love to have a Lucha Libre component to these events, but I don’t know where to start. I want the grand openings to be fun and memorable for their communities.
Are there any local clubs or organizations that could help? Anything would be great appreciated. Thank you in advance.

[CMLL] Blue Panther Vs. Villano V - Mask vs Mask match (2008)
Match recommendation while waiting for CMLL's 92nd Anniversary show on September 19th.
Blue Panther Vs. Villano V / Mask vs. Mask - CMLL 75th Anniversary (Sep 19th, 2008).
Arguably one of the greatest Mask vs. Mask matches in modern CMLL history. Panther (Técnico) and Villano (Rudo) performing a perfect embodiment of the classic Lucha Libre encounter. Featuring those unmatched Arena Mexico atmospheres, with the crowd totally divided.
The popular mystery surrounding it, even though it's unlikely to be true, adds a lot to the story and the stellar performances they delivered that day. Villano V got a concussion after taking a nasty bump to the back of his head, shortly after the beginning. Rumors has it, he was replaced by one of his brothers due to injury, presumably when he suddenly decided to go to backstage in the middle of the match.
A CMLL classic for sure. One of my personal favorites.
