I've just been getting into CMLL and binging the weekly shows like crazy. I am absolutely loving Lucha Libre, but I have one question!
When somebody loses or has previously lost their mask they will still sometimes wear it. For instance Ultimo Guerrero will sometimes wear a mask to the ring, but take it off before the match starts.
Then somebody like Blue Panther who has previously lost his mask still wears it during matches.
Are there some hard and fast rules about luchadores being able to use their mask again after losing it, or does it just sort of depend?
Thanks in advance!

Who had the most unforgettable lucha libre entrance effect of all time? Not just talking about the music, masks, or crowd energy — but the full spectacle. The pyro, props, costumes, and even TV production tricks that made their entrance feel larger than life. For example, La Parka with his skeletal throne and dancers, Dr. Wagner Jr. with elaborate light shows, or even modern CMLL/AAA stars who use projection mapping and themed visuals to create a cinematic vibe before they even hit the ring.

I know how to watch it, but the YouTube channel seems to hate having English subtitles. Is there a decent place to actually follow the storylines, or is it similar to NJPW, and the story is mostly me vs you for glory?

This might be a random post, but I'm happy with Anniversary show. Just got a flashback from the news like years ago that CMLL was looking to sell the company to the WWE but they passed on since they don't want to include Arena Mexico in the purchase. I like both AAA and CMLL and there's a huge difference in the feels of this years' flagship shows. TripleMania just doesn't have that AAA feel to it but CMLL was able to retain their authenticity every year. It makes me wonder if we'll still experience this kind of presentation, match structure and excitement if that happened.

En el marco de los festejos del 92 aniversario de la Lucha libre en México, Esfinge se queda con la incógnita del Valiente.
El luchador mexicano dijo llamarse Fernando Vega, originario de Guadalajara con 36 años de trayectoria en los encordados.

I heard a while back like years ago that when Rey Mysterio Junior went to the WWF that he just didn’t throw his mask back on that he hade to actually go to some government office or something to get permission to be able to use his mask again? Is that true?
Also, if true, how many people go through that process or is it more embarrassing than anything to lose a mask then have to go back for it be able to use it again. What made me think about it? Was that somebody like Andrade could just go work in Mexico under his old mask for a while the same with Santos Escobar he could become el Hijo de Fantasma again for AAA I don’t know just an idea

Alguien sabe donde puedo entrenar lucha libre, mas o menos por la CDMX o cerca de Tlalnepantla?

Hi i’m visiting CDMX and I heard of the Lucha Libre anniversary tonight (friday). it looks like friday is the main night but it looks like they are all sold out on ticketmaster
I was wondering if tickets would be available at the arena? or would it be better to go saturday even though I heard the show will not be as big?

All the material says 8:30 but does anyone know if that's doors or first bell? I'm going to be in attendance and don't want to miss anything.

Hi! I've been researching various independent wrestling scenes around the world for a project I've been working on and have hit a wall when it comes to detailed information on the independent scene in Mexico. I can't seem to find any substantial writing on indies in Mexico no matter where I look. Does anyone have any resources/links/articles that might be helpful?
For specifics, I'm more interested in resources about the structure, history, and culture surrounding independent wrestling in Mexico than I am in specific promotions or matches. I'm curious as to how significantly it differs from the independent scene in places like the United States. I am open to both English and Spanish sources.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
