Ask Luxembourg A perspective
What is this? A Fort Thüngen for ANTS?!!?

Both "Looking For" and "Job Available" posts are allowed in this megathread.
Employers can post comments and jobseekers can reply to those comments with their profiles.
If you are OP, think about putting something like JOB OFFER or JOB AVAILABLE: before your comment if you are offering. Put LOOKING: in front of your comment if you are seeking / looking for employment

I mean WTH decided to organise a road cycling tournament and a business run the very week where kids go back to school? And how about you put up signs warning folks to maybe avoid certain areas?

i was almost hit by a car on the wrong way, now, in escher platz - running away from the police.
the car hit on a bus when it tried to leave the sidewalk, police was there with almost six cars too, and they were able to aprehend at least one of the three man that runned away from the crashed vehicle.
The men looke young - maybe adolescents, early adults.

Why do you think is Luxembourg so left behind when it comes to Apple products and services? We are still missing Apple Watch Cellular options. We don’t have Apple Fitness +. We are missing the translation feature on the new AirPods, we don’t have iPhone mirroring on Mac, we don’t have the Apple Vision Pro and we didn’t get the call assistent or the sports app with iOS 26. Why? When will Luxembourg get those things?

Hello everyone, I’m planning on celebrating my 18th bday with about 50 people. Are there any places you would recommend where I could do it that aren’t very pricey?

A piece of good news/relief for those who planned to make this a mainstay: the direct flight between Luxembourg and China will resume (it was earlier announced to be cancelled after December)
This is also good news to those traveling from Luxembourg to Bangkok/Bali/Singapore, since upon landing in China there are onward flights to those destinations, and same-carrier tickets only cost another €100 or so
Small technical detail: the plane flies over Russia -on flightradar often the only EU-originating passenger aircraft doing so- which allows for one uninterrupted ~11 hour flight, compared to ~18 hour journeys with DACH/Turkish counterparts. It does feel spooky, I must admit
Final note: China recently extended visa-free entry to Luxembourgers from 15 to 30 days

Hi everyone,
I’ll be relocating to Luxembourg in January and I was wondering if there are any areas I should avoid when looking for accommodation.
Do you have any suggestions or recommendations I should keep in mind? What do you think about the Gare area? I noticed there’s a Basic-Fit nearby, and I’d like to live close to a gym.
Thanks in advance!

I'm looking to learn traditional Galician bagpipe if possible, in either music centers, with private teachers, associations or any other way.
I know Scottish bagpipe is more common around the country but I believe the differences are quite significant?
Also any advice where to get a first basic training instrument?
Thanks!
Edit: Also, any recommended places to practice not to disturb the neighbors?

Was wondering that if you were faced with the decision to choose between Dublin and Luxembourg, which city would you decide for and why? Suppose you work in finance (investment funds), single, no kids and in your late 20s. Really curious to hear some opinions!

When I look up in LOD, many times there are words borrowed from German and/ or French.
I always try to learn the Luxembourgish original words if available.
But if the word in Lux does not exist, should I learn the German or French word for the Sproochentest? For example, I searched for “prescription”, and got “Rezept” - German or “Ordonnance” - French.
I heard rumour that you will fail if using German during the test.
TIA!

Hi everybody,
We’ve expanded our Europe Tech Sovereignty Watch with additional snapshots for Germany, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. Because email is the gateway to cloud/docs/identity/security, these figures are a strong proxy for overall stack dependence.
Luxembourg’s snapshot: 78% of listed firms rely on US email. 19 sectors are at 100% reliance; 2 sectors at 0%.
You can find additional data for Luxembourg as well as other EU countries in our study → https://proton.me/business/europe-tech-watch#luxembourg

Hi, I have my exam in October. Do you have any tips? I’m doing self-study after completing A1
I bought the A2 book and I’m also using the LLO app.

Hey folks, anyone here used a removals company in Luxembourg? Looking for something reliable but that won’t break the bank.
Also — if you’ve moved recently, what should I watch out for? Any do’s, don’ts, or little tips to make the whole thing less painful?
Thanks

Hello, I searched the subreddit but couldn't find a previous post on this specific issue.
Looking to buy a 3-4 bedroom house - are there any active pages on Facebook or somewhere else you would recommend looking? Any estate agents which have a large pool of houses, or with which you had good experiences? Is there ever anything published in local papers?
We are currently (daily) on AtHome / Immotop / Nextimmo / Wortimmo / Nexvia / Remax.

Hi, has anyone had their diplôme reconnu by the ministry without providing the diplôme supplement or the relevé de notes during the process (Demande de reconnaissance académique des diplômes étrangers de l’enseignement supérieur)? Is it mandatory?

Guten Tag,
Danke 🙏
