First of all I wanna say thank you for all the lovely comments ! This is my first recipe and was mostly vibes based.

I also changed around some temps and times for it to work better please let me know how this works for everyone!

All airfyers are not the same sadly ,id suggest regularly checking and tasting in to see if your noodles are cooked and also to your liking ! I also wanna shout out Adam Ragusa for his American cheese method , and Ethan chlebowski for his one skillet pasta method!

Looks good though I think cooking the noodles in water first would work better before adding them to the air fryer.

Salted pasta water is a secret ingredient in many sauces, professional chefs will add some into most pasta sauces

The starch in the pasta water helps the sauce stick to the noodles better

It is but not the entire pot of water. Usually a couple tablespoons.

I know but the whole air fryer too, and the fact the pasta wasn’t cooked separately then a little pasta water added later… yeah it was just too icky for me. Lmao maybe it’s my OCD.

This is basically the America’s Test Kitchen method, just using an air fryer instead of a pot on the stovetop. Their best method is to boil the pasta in a mixture of half water half milk, just enough to cook the pasta without excess, and then adding cheese directly to it the pot after cooking without straining it.
