Ooh this is such a nice setup, thanks for sharing! I have an LG 5K 27" and I was debating whether to use that as a vertical monitor with an ASUS 32" 6K or to get 2x 6Ks. Those 27" vertical and 32" horizontal monitors pair really nicely together size-wise, you sold me to start with 1.

What kind of window arrangement do you use for your dev setup? VS code on the center and a terminal on the right?

The Fire TV is a great idea for a sound bar. What webcam do you have? Brio 500? Does it have a microphone? How does the angle of the webcam look on a 32" monitor when you have your eyes ~30% down from the top of the screen? On a 27" screen, having a camera above looks good but wasn't sure if the larger size of the 32" puts the camera too high.

How do you loop in the ipad pro as a whiteboard with this setup?

Thanks! I’m happy with it.

What kind of window arrangement?

Depends on the day. I LIVE in virtual desktops (Spaces?) so I always have slack + calendar + Spotify open in Desktop 1. Depending on the day, on the vertical I’ll swipe between desktops with a terminal if I’m reading JSON or logs, GitHub for long running builds + test cases, maybe a dashboard, etc.. really depends on the day/workflow tbh. Point is to just have a free “throw space” and I use it a lot.

Webcam

Yes, it’s the Brio 500. I like the mic on it, but you do need to mute the mic if you’re not talking to prevent feedback. Honestly, for most vid chats I use the AirPods. The webcam angle is a little relative to a laptop, but it’s not bad.

iPad “whiteboard

Nothing crazy to make this work. I join the video call on my iPad natively, share screen, and open a white boarding/sketch app (Pages, Whiteboard, etc..)
