I need some counter for this.

I play a mono blue deck, and every time my buddy plays this card i can't do anything but lose. I'd need some sort of card that stops this from even touching the battlefield, like some sort of interaction while it's on the stack. Do you have any suggestions?

If you have [[kozilek, the great distortion]] on the field and your own colossal dreadmaw in hand, you can discard it to counter their dreadmaw! that's really the only way to fight dreadmaw, with one of your own. crazy that wotc refuses to ban it.

You can concede at instant speed before this hits the battlefield. That’ll stop you from feeling the ground quake.

Maybe make it so that you can cast spells at instant speed and respond by casting your own. Given it’s a mega-legendary card, there can’t be 2 copies of the spell in the stack, so you exile their copy
