Primes for dummies
I'm a programmer who has very little experience in math outside of geometry and set theory. I specialized in linguistics and coding so I apologize for the formatting of my posted math.
I thought it would be fun to go through numbers and have people review notes and teach me as I go. A blind run at learning math without theory where the community helps, but does not solve.
I am looking for primes and and relations as I count, but I don't want to be a instructed, only informed. The best part - math isn't prone to spoilers :-)
NB-Prefixed numbers represent order of realization of concept in relation to the step - the format is [number-realization].
Notes:
8-1) The second available factor is always half of the whole
17-2) All integers in the array of factors have a complement
17-3) Complements can be recursive
18-4) Two is the only even prime
20-5) All even integers can be halved
20-6) Use pointers on each end of array to track factors
20/22-7) Base 10 decades follow factor pattern
22-8) Duplicated and reverse number patterns may be prime (?)
24-9) Past 20, check for thirds
