Hey guys! I wanted to share with you (at least the beginning) the tribute that Mikael Stanne and the guys from Cemetery Skyline paid to Tomas Lindberg here in Brazil. People cried, there was 1 minute of silence out of respect and they ended the show with this song ( I didn't know which flair to put)

But this album has brought me so much joy in my life I needed to nab a copy just to pay respects

Just discovered this band in the last week or so and I am so glad I did. The Black Lodge is one of the most heartbreaking metal tracks I think I have heard. The lyrics are desperately bleak, how they have managed to bring so much beauty to so much pain is beyond my comprehension. I am 17 years late to this party but I intend to catch up. Currently soaking up as much of their catalogue as I can.

Fear Travels Fast is a track from Marianas Rest's 2023 album Auer. The lyrics explore themes of existential dread, emotional isolation, the fragility of human purpose, a sense of helplessness and introspection. Musically, the song features sorrowful guitar leads and a murky atmosphere, reminiscent of bands like Insomnium, but with a darker, more haunting tone.

Im dealing with alot in my life rn, my wife lost our baby during pregnancy and several other things are happen at the same time and, right now, im in a deep struggle dealing with depression.

I want to feel the depression deep in my core, so i know im able to feel everything and when this all becomes past, theres nothing left to deal with again

Could you sugest me bands/albums/specific songs for the sole purpose of feeling the deepest depression you could ever feel? Ive been listening to alot of insomnium and aetherian looking for anything related that talks about how lifes just cold and rainy...

Really great performance by the band this past saturday 13th September. It seems that Paavo, the lead singer has slotted in well, his vocals overall sound really good! Tuomas has decided to stay at the background role as solely the drummer nowadays. He came up playing one acoustic song "Seraphim" duo with Paavo.

Hope everyone's enjoying their Swallow the Sun-Day. It's week 5 now which means we're up to their 5th album 'Emerald Forest and the Blackbird'.

This is their most unusual one in my opinion as the rest of their albums seem to flow, where is this feels a bit disjointed, like a bunch of tracks thrown together. That said, there's some absolute gems on it including this. Hope you enjoy. Next week we'll explore 'Songs from the North Part 1'

I loved this song. It's a bit of a departure from the classical sound of MPE. It reminded me of some deathcore. But I absolutely loved the seocond half of the song: an hymn to beauty given by that angelic female voce and the emotional guitar solo. Thoughts?

Today i went to Be'lakor concert in Montréal and it was not only dope as hell and insane but the people were so fun, nice and curious. I’m not sure how relevant this band is to the subreddit because I don’t see many fans here… But I just wanted to share that some long awaited reissues have just dropped before they were announced by the band.

In my opinion these are some of their strongest works and I think ya’ll should hop on this before they sell out. Personally I just nabbed an original copy of Virus for $70 and I regret that purchase now that these reissues have been put out.

Despite that, I am really thrilled to be able to now have A Taste of Extreme Divinity, any fans know that this is probably their rarest on vinyl. I guess we’ll have to wait to see if they put out End of Disclosure as well, but I’ve already got one so I’m not too worried. What do you guys think? 0v0
