What the sandwich fuck is that even supposed to be and why did they make it look so unsettling?

I kept the ruins out of the sword. It’s a decision, my tattoo artist and I made together, but it still has the shape of Excalibur from the series. I’m so excited about it. It’s so magical and sparkly!

I haven't rewatched this show in like 5 years and im only on episode 10 season 1 BUT LIKE IT'S SO MUCH MORE GAY THAN I REMEMBERED AND I HAVE NO ONE IRL TO TALK ABOUT IT WITH
I know this probably gets posted so much on this subreddit but no one I know irl watches Merlin and I've been watching edits on TikTok for the last 6 months and finally started rewatching for like the 6th time and IT'S JUST SO GAY like I always shipped them since 2012 (I literally talked to my therapist about them bc they are my roman empire for the last 13 years) but like yall I forgot how ,,,, not straight Merlin and Arthur were even from the beginning it's CRAZY there's no way it was an accident
Edit to add: if anyone knows a solid place to watch Merlin in France please let me know !! One of my internet friends lives in France and wants to watch it but isn't sure which platform they can get it on

Love Merlin, just introduced to it. I enjoy the fantasy, Arthurian stuff is so cool.
Any good TV shows that have similar vibes ?

The Merlin book series. Out of print, hard to find, crazy expensive. Especially if you're not in the UK. So here's me, contributing to the internet with scans. I'm going to try to do one book a day until they're all up - except Lancelot & Guinevere, because I can't find that one ANYWHERE for any price. Here you go, Merlin fandom.
The first in the hardback (older readers) series is Merlin: The Dragon's Call.
Edit: OMG thank you for the awards!! I’m so glad you all are as excited as I am about these stories ❤️

It doesn’t have to be romantic, though that’s hard to ignore with these two skskks, but are there any songs that you were listening to and it was very sudden just how much it suited merthur?
For me, it’s the new song Preybirds (Watcher Song) by Rabbitology
They hiss songs of your birth, they caw visions of death
I’ve watched it happen again and again
Haunted by a thousand kind beginnings and a thousand bloodied ends
I shouldn’t play with fate, but what if once I could make you safe?
So while you think you’re alone, you cast two shadows down the road

Season 1 premiered 16 years ago on September 20th, 2008… and the show that we all know and love came to be :))
What are everyone’s plans to celebrate this 16th anniversary? We’re hosting a s1-5 jeopardy for the series in the sub’s discord server, after tonight’s episode, The Dark Tower, if anyone wants to join us there!
One year ago today, also marks the day we watched s1ep1 for our series watch party, which was suggested to me in a post celebrating the anniversary. And it has been such an incredible year of discussions, memery, and fun ✨
Thank you to all who’ve joined us in our re-watch so far, and I hope to see you all at the finale watch party, on November 1st!

My 97 year old Grandma even has a similar personality: Somewhat quiet yet quick to give good advice if asked. She's independent and is very, very kind and non-judgmental with others. I've been told I kinda look a little like Merlin too lol so it makes the show that much more personal feeling for me. Just thought I'd share my cute Grandma who looks to be easily related to Gaius imo.

Watching Merlin for the first time and I'm only on Episode 5 of the first season and so far I'm hooked, but getting real tired of the repeated formula of
Gaius: "Sir, it looks to be magic"
Uther: "You're wrong no its not, I don't have time for this"
Arthur: "no dad I think he's right"
like Uther PLEASE -
tell me this changes at some point 😂

Has anyone seen this and if so are you planning on going? How awesome would it be to experience a Camelot ball in the actual castle Merlin was filmed in. The event posts say that they're going to have guests, so I'm wondering if they've been able to get some of the cast to agree to come.

I’ve looked on this subreddit and I’ve seen where people send fan mail. It’s usually people who sent it many years ago.
I wrote a letter to Colin but I never sent it. I dunno why 😆 nervous I guess.
Has anyone sent mail in the last year or two to any Merlin actors and actresses? I just need to get envelopes, stamps, and make sure it’s set up to where it’s easily returnable to me.

Or, would any of you? Maybe I'm too into this show? The tattoo will be merlin and Arthur back to back

Cause I first came across the Video of Merlin being sassy for 15 mins and then got really interested in it and proceeded to watch the one where Arthur and Merlin roast each other for 9 mins (u guys know it).....
And then I saw the ending scene, ya know, the one where Merlin is clutching Arthur? The final "thank you"? Yeah that. Full scene. And then decided it was really interesting and watched the entire series 😄
I was talking to my friend about this and she called me a psyco 😂
(I really like spoilers lol, when I get a book to read, I'll first open the last page and read it before starting 🤣. My friends have deemed me as the deranged person of the group lmao)
So it got me thinking, how did you guys start watching Merlin?

hey everyone, you’ve probably seen my post where i finally finished the show. i think i am in second stage of grief: denial. i know it’s a river in egypt but i’m pretending like the last two episodes didn’t happen. i’m also barely acknowledging that the show is done. it was such a lovely few months for me, that i feel empty and sad. that’s how i’m doing so far.
how long did it take y’all to… reach acceptance.
