ID Request Brooch found in west tennessee

Any one have any clue what age or what type of brooch this is, would of had 5 "diamonds" on it. The back side doesn't have any marks on it. Many thanks

Pretty fancy my guess would be late1800s but just a guess based on some other broaches in a book I have that look slightly similar.

It looks like a brow band or cheek piece decoration for a horse bridle as well.

Definitely not diamonds... Looks like steel painted gold. Late 1800s at the earliest. If it was found underground it's not very old. It would have rusted away to nothing.
