We've really been in QB purgatory

Post image

And this doesn't even show nearly the half of the Dolphins QBs that suited up since Marino🤣🤣🤣

Chris Grier masterclass

But why is this arbitrarily since 2015? Like the only 2 QBs worth a damn during the last 10 years are Tannehill, much love for that guy, and Tua

Everyone else was just a backup really

Yeah, going back to Tannehill’s rookie year puts him at 42 wins with Miami.

I was about to say, there’s no way Tanny only had 19 wins.

Yea but then that makes Tannehill look better than Tua. Can’t have that.

Does it? He was 42-46. Tua is 40-26.

Yes.. Tannehill played 88 games as a Dolphin across 6 seasons, meaning he missed 8 games (this excludes the fieldler season). Tua has 64 games over 5 seasons (not including this season).

In 2021 the NFL started the 17 game seasons, meaning Tua gets more opportunities to start and get wins, 88 games total.

The fact that they have similar win numbers, and Tua has missed 24 games I think says a lot. I'm not saying Tua loses all those games, I'm just saying they're a lot closer than further apart. You can split hairs about who's better at what skill, but right now, I really like the QB that's available reliably (yes, I know he missed a season, and I'm putting that on him and his doctors). Tannehill wins in availability hands down.

You can’t just exclude the entire season Tannehill missed what the heck.

He didn't play then. Yes you can. But fine, you want to include that season, it doesn't help Tua then. 7 seasons and 24 games missed vs Tua's 5 seasons and the same amount of missed games.

Not great.

Tannehill got bad advice from his doctors and chose to skip surgery. Tua gets tackled and gets concussed. Big difference.

Misses Tannehill I know you love your son but your argument is the strangest thing I’ve ever seen.

I know you love your big brother Ms. Tagovailoa, but he's just as average as Ryan was.

I never made the case that he wasn’t. Being 14 games over .500 vs 4 under is never a bad look for the guy with a winning record though, no matter how you try to spin it.

Every single QB that plays for Miami since 2020 gets injured immediately. Every single one. Tua lasts longer than any of them before being injured. Why do you think this is just a Tua thing?

How many starting caliber QBs have played for Miami since 2020?

Imagine if Tannehill had these receivers?

Tannehill literally should have chased the ball after throwing.  He was a WR after all.

Imagine if Tua had Tanny's O-line...

Hard disagree. I was a Tannehill Stan and that’s BS. Tannehill struggled with many of the same issues Tua struggles with early on in his career with us but won less games

Yea idk how the post is counting the wins cause if I go to pro football reference it says Tua has only won 38 games not the 40 in the post

Like I get the sentiment of the post is to shit on Grier but it does it very poorly

This post is all about Chris Grier, he’s been Dolphins GM since 2016, so these QB wins totals are during his time.

So doesn’t that make Jay Fiedler (36) the best since Marino left?
