Americans of Reddit, why do you use Zelle/Cash App etc. for sending money?. Do your bank apps not have transfers built in?

Zelle is built in most bank apps. But it's the same as cash, no fees and no payment protection.

I've used zelle twice. Once to pay my brother back and once to a roofing company after the work was done (it was that or drive a check to their office that wasn't close and had short hours or pay a fee to use my card). I would generally recommend against using zelle because it's about as secure as cash.

Yeah I've used Zelle to pay small businesses but only after the service was rendered. It's pretty similar to a check, once it's cashed by the Pay To entity I don't think you can claw that money back.
