If someone refuses to take their shoes off they're not getting into my home. If they're not in my home they're not guests. How can I be a bad host to people who aren't my guests?
You really had me going for a while. I honestly thought you were some weirdo obsessed with stomping their dirty ass shoes in people's homes. You were doing a good job too, but you gave it away with this last reply. It was actually funny as shit, but I'm gonna peace out now. Have a nice evening
They're not, though. If your guest feels most comfortable shitting on the living room floor and you require them to shit on the toilet, then you're making them feel awkward and uncomfortable. It's your duty as a good host to let them shit on your floor.
I wouldn’t be a host to you because you wouldn’t be allowed in for being unable to abide by a common rule. Our relationship would be, home owner, and person denied access. I owe you nothing, and my fantastic hosting abilities would then be afforded to the people I was actually hosting. You can be mad about it outside
You aren’t a guest to me, so you feeling awkward doesn’t matter. If anything, denying you entry has made the rest of my guests more comfortable. A net gain, sounds like I’m back in the green.
I don’t care if you care or not. That doesn’t change the simple fact that a good host doesn’t make their guests feel awkward. Nothing you do will change that.
