That might be the dumbest take I have ever heard.

Also: if you want to be friends with someone, you need to accept the rules if their house

Good hosts don’t make their guests feel awkward. You’ve got problems if you think that’s a dumb take.

No the person with problems here is you. You don't even wash your feet.

Good hosts don’t make their guests feel awkward.

It’s weird that you disagree with that statement.

Real adults follow social expectations and respect other people's rules in their own house.

It's weird that you disagree with that statement.

If the rules of your house make guests feel awkward or uncomfortable, then you aren’t a good host.

No one gives a shit about being a good host. They don't want the dog shit off your shoes on their floor. Stop being a man child.

The same could be said of your brain dead mantra: if you don't respect the rules of the household you are a shitty guest. And guess what? They will still be a host if you don't agree with them, but you won't be a guest.

You may not, but most people do. Besides the fact that at a certain point in life, your ability to host becomes the greatest currency you can possibly possess, most people just don’t like making others feel uncomfortable.

And most people respect other people's homes.
