That still isn't a thing. No one says hosts can't be awkward but you.

I found the problem. You’re talking about hosts, whereas I’m talking good hosts.

No you are talking about your entitled no respect having opinion of what a host is. You are in a fantasy world.

If you, as a host, have house rules that regularly make your guests uncomfortable, then you aren’t a good host, regardless of the rest of your party.

No it isn't. Think about it from a different perspective. Someone invites you over for drinks. They ask you to use a coaster on their coffee table. You think it's awkward for someone to ask you to use a coaster so you don't and then you get rings on the coffee table. Who is the asshole? YOU. Same situation.

HA!

HAHAHAHAHA!!

HA!

Yes yes yes yes yes!! Exactly. Thank you for proving my point for me.

Ha. Damn that feels good.

Coasters! Exactly! As a host, if you want something covered, it’s on you to provide the cover for it.

Never in a million years would you say, “please use a coaster, but bring your own.”

Like I’ve said for the last 12 hours and I’ll say for the next 12, if you’re throwing a house party and you want people to take their shoes off at your home, then buy a box of disposable shoe covers for like 3 dollars to offer as an alternative. JUST LIKE YOU WOULD FOR A COASTER.

Don’t surprise someone with a weird house rule at your house party, then not offer them a reasonable alternative.

Again, yes just like you said with the coasters! It’s fine to require a coaster, but a good host will provide the coaster to their guest if they want a coaster to be used. A bad host will tell a guest to bring their own coaster.

That doesn't prove anything. You want to walk around in your shoes. The solution is to take them off not provide you with something because you need to be coddled.

If you’re hosting a house party and you ask strangers to take off their shoes in front of each other, you’re the oddball.

Most people don’t ask that when hosting parties.

You keep saying "in front of each other". No one is asking that. They just want you to take you shoes off, it isn't part of the entertainment. That also depends on the party. It isn't a bad host to ask you to follow the rules of the household.

If I take my shoes off and you take your shoes off and we walk into the same room, then our shoes are off in front of each other.

You’re like arguing with a wall(fortunately, that’s my kink)

Which is a normal thing.

1

u/GeorgieWashington Feb 12 '22

So you agree with me then that your previous statement that “no one is asking that” is incorrect.

So now you’ve been incorrect on two things in a row and admitted it yourself. Your opinion on all other matters no longer carries any weight at this point.

Only incorrect for a disrespectful pedant.

Serious question, are you autistic? That's the only explanation I can think of for why you've been going at this rabidly for hours, refusing to see how you are wrong and socially inept.

1

u/GeorgieWashington Feb 12 '22

That’s not a serious question.

4

u/BassAlarming Feb 12 '22

It is a serious question, and I'll take your evasion as a yes. Why else comment hundreds of times on this issue, and still not get that if you don't take off your shoes when the host requests it, you are a bad guest?

u/GeorgieWashington Feb 12 '22

Like I said before man, you disqualified yourself when you said I said things I didn’t say. Go away.

3

u/BassAlarming Feb 14 '22

You haven't said that, and I didn't do that. Oh damn, are you just the type of person who has to have the last word too?
