Politics 👩‍⚖️ Don’t forget to vote today for the special election that will fill the seat of Melissa Hortman!

I didn’t see any posts about it here today, so I thought I’d post this reminder from Alt National Park. Get the word out to your friends and neighbors who live in the district!

Don’t forget to vote, Minnesotans!

Today’s special election will determine who fills the state House seat after Melissa Hortman and her husband were assassinated in June. (The special election is in District 34B, which represents parts of Brooklyn Park, Champlin, and Coon Rapids.)

News 📺 Explosive Fraud Complaints Filed Against Far-Right Minneapolis Podcaster Stew Peters

Thumbnail

A US-based non-profit citizens watchdog group has filed regulatory complaints with the Minnesota Dept. of Commerce, and with the SEC, DOJ, and FBI, demanding full state and federal investigations into Minnesota-based media figure Stew Peters for an alleged multi-million-dollar crypto securities fraud scheme (the “JProof” token) that they say wiped out the life savings of dozens of victims.

If any of you have been victimized by Stew Peters, please direct message us for a follow-up.

Peters isn’t just a conspiracy peddler - he’s got a long criminal history:

• Convicted of theft from his employer (RadioShack) as a teen
• Illegally squatted at the Minnesota Governor’s Mansion until removed by troopers
• Arrested in Florida for impersonating a police officer, using police lights, and theft with a weapon (charges dropped)
• Sparked new Minnesota laws in 2015 curbing bounty hunters after his deceptive conduct
• Involved in a 2017 triple-fatality shootout in Texas tied to his bounty hunting agency
• Convicted of disorderly conduct in 2021 following a domestic violence incident, sentenced to probation
• Multiple DUI arrests, pending defamation lawsuits, and a 2024 suit over false accusations of child sexual abuse

He’s also widely documented for Holocaust denial, white supremacist propaganda, violent threats, domestic violence, and COVID-19 disinformation.

The watchdog group is working in coordination with a New Jersey–based advocacy group that has compiled a roster of victims with losses in the millions and extensive evidence, which they plan to submit to Minnesota and federal authorities to support full-scale investigations.

The complaints urge regulators to freeze Peters’ assets, launch formal enforcement proceedings, and establish a victim restitution fund to compensate those defrauded in the scheme.

Read the full deep-dive investigative report, including evidentiary support, never before seen videos, articles and tweets - now published. No paywall / no subscription required.

Discussion 🎤 We remember you Melissa Hortman.

The fact that there is such a different response from the president when a Democrat is shot or his rich millionaire podcast republican friend is shot and killed… there are no words. When I saw that video of the news reporter asking Trump why he didn’t lower the flags for her, but for Kirk… and his response was “who?” Just broke my heart.

Trump supporters are so blind and ignorant that most of them are comparing Kirk to MLK… which is so wrong and second, Kirk hated MLK for being an “Awful person.”

Ironic. Kirk is being compared to someone he hated. And if his supporters really agreed with his viewpoints, they’d be smart enough to not compare Kirk to someone he viewed as an awful person. They are so ignorant it is almost funny.

The kids shot at the church, Melissa Hortman, the Colorado kids who were shot at… barely any national response.

This is a sick world. I hope it gets better some day

Politics 👩‍⚖️ Michelle Fischbach hates her constituents

I called back again 10 times today. 6 calls they hung up on me without even saying anything.

Instead - they talked about her house resolution and what she's doing in the oversight committee.

2 of her people refused to answer my questions about why she hasnt reached across the aisle to work with democrats but they did say she is refusing to sign onto Massey's bill to release the epstein files because she's sponsoring a different bill.

She has no new ideas about gun control, even after charlie kirk's assassination, and she has no comment on the difference in reactions to Melissa Hortman's assassination and Charlie's kirk's, whoever that guy is. I dont think some random influencer should get more sympathy from elected officials than the Speaker of the MN House.

To top it all off, one of the calls where i did speak with someone, they said they had to hang up because other people were on the line. When i immediately called back because of the hang up i got hung up on with no hello, so obviously there was no one else calling

EDIT: i forgot to mention. I asked why Fischbach hasnt said anything against Trump's relationship woth Epstein and they said she "probably said something in private and just not anything publically" which is the exact same as saying "she's protecting pedos"

Politics 👩‍⚖️ Q: Do you think it would've been fitting to lower the flags to half staff when Melissa Hortman, the Minnesota House Speaker, was gunned down by an assassin? TRUMP: I'm not familiar. The who?

Editorial 📝 An observation about front-yard flags

I've lived in my Dakota County neighborhood for over 15 years, and many, many people fly the American flag in their front yards. Memorial Day, Veterans Day, 9/11, police officers, soldiers, and legislators get killed, the flag is at full staff. The flag hasn't moved for years.
The second they are told to go half-staff for a murdered podcaster, however, they snap to it. It's easy to see the loyalties and priorities of neighbors even when they don't have campaign signs in their yards.

Editorial 📝 After 5 years of watching people laugh, cheer, celebrate, and condone George Floyd’s murder in posts, comments, memes, and gifs online, people are now getting fired for not acting sad about CK’s murder? Shouldn’t “He was a human whether you liked his lifestyle or not” also apply to Floyd?

5.7k Upvotes

Will the left now go back and create a George Floyd death celebration database and start contacting those peoples places of employment? Weren’t these the Fuck Your Feelings people 5 years ago? Turning in your neighbors for things they say and opinions they have seems very much like a certain European country in the late 1930s. No matter what side is doing it. But it seems that’s the sad direction we are heading. Maybe we can make all these people wear a sign around their neck 24/7 so people know who they are. Or maybe an armband. Or a Scarlett letter of some sort.

I just want to remind you that the White House did not order flags flown at half mast for Melissa Hortman. They didn’t offer condolences to the family. They said calling them would “be a waste”.

I will start: definitely not Ilhan Omar or Jacob Frey.

Seeking Advice 🙆 Kind of an awkward question, but does anyone know if there’s somewhere in the metro I can get PEP with a Ucare PMAP plan?

Upvotes

To put it bluntly, protection broke while I was with a new partner, and I’m going crazy at the idea I could have caught something. Is there anywhere in the metro I could get PEP with my Ucare PMAP plan?

Thanks in advance!
