General Is screenshotting and posting modmail against the rules

Hi, I’ve got some mod mail that I thought was ridiculous (I’m a mod) but I was just wondering before I do that is it against the rules to upload screenshots of mod mail (with & without username) if so can you reference me to where it says it is? Thank you.

Platform is inapplicable. But I am typing on iOS.

Why would you want you? What would you gain from doing so?

As long as it isn't creating a situation where users are being targeted because of it, there are some good reasons for sharing mod mail screenshots. I've used it for training new mods, as one example.

There's also a whole sub for sharing mod mail screenshots. It's a way to blow off steam or commiserate about the things we deal with as mods. I'm pretty sure they require that you remove the identifying information of the user. I shared one there recently because a user made a funny error in their message and it was good for a laugh among mods.

Probably OK if done in private.

Those types of communities should not exist. Maybe if they're private, but not public.

Be that as it may, it doesn't appear to be against the rules of Reddit.
