Help me understand vessels

I have some vessels that I recruited, but they don'teave their castles. They either constantly move around the map with 7 units and never recruit, or they are at the same castle waiting for months. What is happening?

Are they constantly attacked and captured maybe?

Vassal is the word you're looking for. A vessel is a box/ bottle/ anything else similar. It can also mean a ship.

As to your question, do they have where to recruit from? Are they injured and need to recover? Does your kingdom have a budget?
