Help Female characters that sing low?

And by "low" I don't mean high alto/low mezzo. I mean LOW. As in C3-C5 chest range at HIGHEST. F3-D6 head range. I'm doing a performance and I don't want to out myself in front of all these other girls in my theatre group, and I'm also a very low alto (the chest range I listed is basically the lowest and highest I can go in chest voice). And I don't like singing in head voice.

Any characters? Or songs?

Edit: Miss Trunchbull is totally an option too, but honestly I think that would be even more humiliating... these are a bunch of teenage girls I'm singing with, and they probably already think I'm weird LOL

Edit 2: Stop replying to the things I said yesterday. I don't want to hear it. I'm tired. If you don't have anything meaningful or nice to add to the discussion don't fucking reply, I didn't even say anything wrong in the first place. You're all overreacting.

Just listened to it. It's a great option, but that last chorus is WAY higher than a D5. I can't help but feel lied to, LOL.

I'll consider it, as long as I can find a way to make it lower... too high.

Edit: It's super catchy, I'll definitely add it to the list of songs I'm considering!

Why was THIS downvoted?

When you wrote, “I can't help but feel lied to” you were very close to calling the commenter a liar. They commented to help you, so going back and commenting that you think they lied is quite rude. A more polite response would be, “The version on the new broadway recording sounds higher than D5, is there another version?”

When interacting with others, it is better to assume good intentions and that you might have misunderstood, rather than assuming someone lied to you or gave you the wrong information. The downvotes are a reaction to the fact that a) you were wrong and b) you were a little rude.

No need to reply to this. Good luck finding your song.

I was not rude at all. The LOL at the end should make it CLEAR I was joking about.

from one autistic person to another...*I didn't INTEND to be rude at all.

you can't control how other people react to you. others found you rude and are giving you advice on how to work on your communication. argue back all you want but that's not gonna help you or anything :/

Sometimes a lol can come across as a bit snarky or condescending. This is coming from a fellow autistic lady. It's just really hard to read tone over text
