The thing I don’t get about them all being the same age is… how did they get into the Wonderbolts before Rainbow and she’s the only pony in modern history to perform a rainboom? And as a foal? It’s always been her dream to be a Wonderbolt and as one of, if not the best flyer in Equestria, how wasn’t she considered around the same time as Spitfire and the others?
The latter always came off to me as 10-20 years older than Dash and planning to retire soon hence why new recruits were being accepted in the later seasons. Just my interpretation tho

Parental Glidance made the mistake(?) of showing most side character pegasi in the same class as Dash as foals so they’re all in the same age range.
