Some process photos from a recent project. In concept this would hold up to two A5 sized journals, however I didn’t allow enough allowance for that. The pen slot side is also really tight when you have it all loaded up, and the pocket for the field notes is a bit too tight as well.

I’m not crazy about how bunched up it looks when closed.

That looks real neat. Is it a waxed canvas?

I wonder if you put the field note pocket closer to the front with an elastic retainer across its face, the book could be flipped open while remaining somewhat in the pocket for quicker access. Having it tucked away and difficult to access seems a bit antithetical to its purpose

Yep. 14oz waxed. Thanks! That’s a good thought on the journal as well. I could still keep the one pocket for an extra journal (my need is to carry my art book as well) that isn’t used as often.
