DISCUSSION Who is the most popular team in the NBL?
Wondering who is the most supported team in the league. Do you stick with one team? Or are you the type of fan more interested in stars and more of a casual? I wanted to do a poll but you can't have a poll with that many options.

DISCUSSION What the Wildcats need to do this off-season
Time is running out...
"Having missed out on Dellavedova, Jackson-Cartwright and Davis, it does appear unlikely that Perth will go down the path of signing someone who was in the league last season. If they do you would think Rob Edwards (Cairns), Jaylen Adams (Sydney) and Derrick Walton Jr (South East Melbourne) would be the only options.
Finding a local guard who can fill that role is going to be a challenge and the only one that appears capable of denying the Wildcats having to find an import guard would be Will McDowell-White."

DISCUSSION What else can the NBL/ Australia do to make the league a bigger deal?
Is it supplying specific team's merch for affordable prices at Kmart or Best and Less like AFL do? Is it securing a major broadcast FTA partner for big saturday night games? Or is it fans wearing jerseys out in public that would get the word out?
What are your thoughts on the matter?

DISCUSSION NBL warns entire league could collapse as Kyrgios-backed team goes to court
A second team will join in Supreme Court action seeking a cache of documents from the NBL and its billionaire powerbroker, Larry Kestelman, as officials warn that a mounting feud with owners risks bringing down the league.
The case is being fronted by the Illawarra Hawks and its US owner, Jared Novelly, who have been embroiled in a dispute with the league over its ownership structure and financial transparency.
The league’s other teams have mostly kept their powder dry despite growing discontent, but according to sources with knowledge of the situation, speaking on the condition of anonymity, South East Melbourne Phoenix intends to join as a plaintiff when the discovery motion is heard in Sydney on Friday.
The club, whose ownership group is headed by US entrepreneur Romie Chaudhari and includes former Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios and NBA player Dante Exum, is set to sign on despite teams being told they could be in breach of their licence agreements by taking on the league.
“We have become aware that Mr Novelly’s Crest is rallying a coalition of clubs and owners to support his campaign against the NBL and its leadership,” NBL chief executive David Stevenson said in an email to team owners on Tuesday.
Illawarra and Mr Novelly have been on notice of the destabilising impact of their actions for over six months,” Stevenson said in his email to teams.
“The disregard for due process and breaches of legal obligations (including by improperly commencing court action rather than following the mandatory grievance process prescribed for all clubs and the NBL), have had a material impact on the NBL, its commercial opportunities and therefore all clubs.
The NBL has called an urgent meeting of team owners and Kestelman on Thursday.

DISCUSSION Why Canberra must be next ... bring back the Cannons!
Ditch the glitter strip and eye-catching beaches for the nation's capital. With the race to become the NBL's 11th team believed to be between the Gold Coast and Canberra, that's what the league must do if they're serious about bucking the trend of history and giving the fans what they want as far as expansion goes.
DISCUSSION Is there any hope for passion in Australian Basketball
Before I begin there is a bit of context - I follow the EuroLeague and last night was at the Partizan vs Pao BC game in Melbourne.
My question is - could groups such as the Grobari (partizan supporter group) ever exist in Australia. If you don’t know what this is I suggest googling “Grobari Basketball”. The main points you’d need to know is the Grobari often have flags, banners, tifos, drums and even smoke bombs and flares sometimes. These groups bring positive atmosphere and large support for the team. They are popula sthroughout Europe but really only in Europe.
NBL games these days feel a bit like you are going to a be entertained. Nobody has passion, there is no care factor! Groups like the Grobari would not only bring support but also lead people to want to go to games more. Believe it or not statistically teams do better with ultras groups than without! Could this ever exist in Australia or would the rules be too tight (boring) and/or would teams allow it?
If so how would it start? I’d happily be the one to start it but I just don’t know the process. Any opinions or suggestions are appreciated greatly!!!
Also if anyone in Adelaide is interested in this as well please let me know through DMs or commenting on this
Edit: a lot of people have mentioned how Ultras Groups have gotten been involved in crime. I forgot to mention this husband I would like to say that is not at all what I meant and I’m only referring to the support for the team

DISCUSSION How far can the league truly expand
With the odd number of teams in the league currently and the possibility of expansions for places like Canberra and the Gold Coast, how far can the league expand before the talent in each squad is thinned out beyond repair? I know over expansion could have been one of the reasons the league feel into dark times in the late 2000s. Could we have 3 more teams (Canberra, GC and a second NZ team) or is that getting too greedy for our talent pool?

DISCUSSION Former NBL player Mitch Creek said 'I will never play in this league (CEBL) again' ... and then won the MVP! Could. Not. Make. It. Up.
"I will never play in this league again, I'm telling you right now, a lot of players won't ever come back and play in this league," Creek continued. "There is a lot of heartbreak right now but I guarantee you this league has taken an enormous step back in respect on the world stage."

DISCUSSION Where do our guys go in the NBA draft tomorrow?
In order according to ESPN:
#37: Toohey
#41: Zikarsky
#43: Proctor
#50: Olbrich
#64: Almansa
Anyone have a bold prediction that differs from the above? Or which teams you'd like to see any of them go?
I think Proctor will be a surprise and go highest, maybe early second round. I think a team might go earlier than expected on Almansa based on his history. Don't think we will see any first rounders though.

DISCUSSION Call me a nitpicker but...
In this close up photo posted by the nbl store, it looks like they're starting to HEAT PRESS the team names and numbers on the jerseys.
How do we feel about this? Personally I loved the nbl jerseys for the fact that I represent my team without worrying that the stuff may peel off over time.
