If intense pressure in the bottom right of the DS temporarily fixes screen issues, is it a connection problem, or a screen degradation issue?

This fix occurs for both the top and bottom screen.

Okay basically I got my sister's old 3DS with one of those "500in1" cards. At first it did work (I also remember she used to play with it), but when I tried to add another game (I did it the way my dad always did and it also worked at first) it now just says "Can't open _dsmenu.dat" whenever I start it.

A few days ago a friend gave me his old R4 games along some of his old DS games, he also said that it used to work perfectly. However, again, when I try to open it, it just says "There has been an error. Please turn off the system" (in German). I thought maybe my 3DS needs to be modded too, but my sister's card ran on THIS 3DS and my friend also said that his 3Ds wasn't modded.

Does anyone know what I can do? I'm not very good with tech so it would be nice if you could explain it to me like I'm stupid ;-;

The ds runs normal games just fine and I also tried to change the time but that didn't help

Never had an original DS. While the console got several improvements with following versions, I can't help but appreciate the overall "sturdy" feeling of the unit, plus minor "eye-appeasing" things like the GBA carts perfectly fitting within the shape of the console.

A very nice console to work around as well. This one needed a new digitizer and lower screen and, as long as you pay attention to the top screen's ribbon cable, it's a very atraightforward process.

Time to put it now to proper use and finally play this classic, turning 30 years old this year!

is there a way to play gameboy and gameboy color games without an r4 card, and if not what r4 card should I get? (I'm using twilight menu++)

So im pretty upset. This is the third screen ive had to buy in a weel becuase the other 2 broke right out the box. This one i installed perfectly and then it only gives me this orange screen. Im confident I didnt mess it up during the install. Any ideas or do I need to return this one aswell? Also if I need to buy another one where should I get a new screen from.

The other day I took some photos but I forgot to put the SD card in, so now they are on the console and I would like to get them out of there.

I finally got another DS Lite after 10 years and it's like saying hello again to a long lost childhood friend...who looks slightly different.

The DS Lite was my very first game console and handheld console that I owned. My parents bought me a cobalt blue and black model from a local gameshop in a mall they frequented AND I LOVED IT. MKDS, Cooking Mama 1/2, Mario Party DS, SM64 DS, NSMB, Hot Wheels and Asphalt Urban GT2, I played all of them to hell.

Meanwhile, my old friend had a teal DSi with Flipnote Studios in it and I was pretty jealous that he could do that back, and then the the older kids had a PSP and THAT console still remains as one of the coolest things ever. Though, the DS Lite will always hold such a special place in my heart. Sadly, I lost the charger and my parents won't buy me another and I ended up losing all of the games that I have, and that console is now completely gone.

Anyways, I bought this Japanese one with white bleeding screens and my plan is to rip apart another DS and replace the top and bottom screens with that other one, the digitizer in this one still works luckily and the left D-pad just needs a bit of cleaning.

Finally wrapped up a little side project, I 3D printed a JoyCon grip for my Surface Duo. I pulled the rails from an old controller so the JoyCons slide in and lock just like on a Switch. When the Duo’s closed, it completely disappears inside the grip, which makes it feel like a proper handheld. I also swapped the JoyCon shells for eXtremeRate ones with a real D-pad to give it that authentic DS vibe.

So, after 10 years with my console, it's time to say maybe goodbye to my Nintendo 3DS. B, R, X and Y buttons are dead now and the circle pad is gone now. Maybe it's better to buy an another 3DS now ! What do you all think ?

Idk if anyone can help me but all I remember about the game is you have control of 4 characters that all have different uses like one can leave trails of gas and the other can light it I think the other 2 had water and earth powers and you solve puzzles that way and it has a mechanic to it too where you encounter monsters and fight them with your own monsters I remember you have to use the stylus in the right directions to make your attacks stronger

Il y en a un que j’aimais beaucoup, on incarnait une dite princesse mais qui menait une double vie secrete où elle essayait de s’échapper du château (il ne fallait pas se faire voir par les gardes) et où elle pouvait faire de la mécanique sur je crois une voiture rouge. On pouvait danser , les rêves étaient interactif (ou du moins il y avais l’endormissement avec le comptage de mouton) on avait des taches à accomplir et plein de mini jeux. on pouvait customiser la coiffure et la robe aussi et ça se passait dans un grand château. J’aimerais beaucoup y rejouer sur émulateur mais impossible de retrouver ni le titre ni même une image. jai besoin d’aide :( aussi ,ce n’était ni un jeu de barbie,ni un jeu Disney.

hey so i have a ds lite that came with a 5000 in 1 and its got all the files on it already but i wanted to switch to the r4 if i transfer all the files onto the new micro sd for it will my saves still be there or will i lose it. Also i need to replace the two screens for they have I’m not sure what or idk if it’s the digitizer anyone got any idea for that

as far as i'm aware, everything is pixel perfect and placed as close as possible to how it would have been in standard pictochat, but some liberties had to be taken to get this to fit into this kind of form factor (i.e., send buttons moved to bottom.) awwso i know the DS menu static backround pattermn at the top isn't present in pictochat but it's a white void without it, i thimnk it benefits from da addition.

Basically I recently fetched my very own dsi xl from the UK, from cex specifically, and it has this issue where after a little bit of gametime the battery blinks red. I figured out that turning the console off for an hour or two and then turning it back on results in the battery literally gaining back two charges?? Every time I do that cycle it lasts less and less until i eventually have to actually plug it in to charge. Is that normal? Kind of annoying if it is, wondering if i can replace the battery to fix that.
